Are priests allowed to give a gift?

I know this might be a silly question, but if you invite a Roman Catholic priest to your wedding....not to officiate, but because he's related to you, is he allowed to give a gift to the couple? I'm pretty sure they are not allowed to do such things, because they are not allowed to deal with money. Is this right?

thats not true at all. they are more than able to give gifts. nuns are too. we are close friends we a Msgr and he gave us an engagement gift.
