Are rehearsal dinner invites necessary? FMIL has not even mentioned that she was sending them out. Our rehearsal is a little over a week away. Are they truly necessary? At this point, I'm just telling everyone via word of mouth.

I did word of mouth. They're really not necessary. I wanted to do them, only b/c they're a cute idea, but FMIL said no

they are totally not necessary.. however i did do them because our bridal party is very forgetful and loses things easily..soooo we got magnets from vistaprint.. now they have it in front of their faces at all times!!

I was going to do them, but decided on just doing an evite instead(it's free)...it lets them RSVP online and reminds them about the event 1 week prior...I'm not a DIYer, so I'm sure it saved me some headaches

We did them but they are not necessary-my MIL did them b/c she planned our RD from SC and needed a head count

I did them, but I got a REALLY good deal on them, plus we have a lot of people coming and my FIL's wanted to know how many...plus I am CRAZY into my Fall theme, and they matched...
But concidering your is a week away, I think it's too late. Word of mouth or an email is MORE than fine

Nah - I was going to shoot an e-mail to the bridal party and readers...but found adorable little invites at Target so I ended up writing them out and mailing. Its kind of a given they are all coming to rehearsal and dinner, those that can't had a good reason (i.e work, travel etc.)

I don't think they are necessary.
I sent out emails to the bridal party and then called whoever else was invited over the phone and let them know.

Not necessary! I did do them, but nothing fancy! I bought them at Target for like $4.00 a pack and sent those out!
