Anyone feel like they are purposely being cold towards Diana and gushing over Fantasia??
They certainly DO NOT seem impartial tonight....

I called from 11-11:30 when I knew the majority of ppl already voted. I kept hitting redial and got threw on the 03 number.

I never voted before in any of the American Idols.. however last night I was totally appalled how the judges were praising Fantasia, and how they were so mean to Diana, that I voted! I called for a good 1/2 hour and must have put my vote in atleast 40x's. I really want Diana to win!!
Personally I think Fantasia SUCKS!!! She cant hit a high note or even hold it for a long period of time. I dont like the way she talks either.. she's too street. I think the judges favoritism is DISGUSTING!!! and I dont like how Fantasia makes every song feel like i'm at a gospel church.. it totally turns me off!!! BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I agree!!! I have never voted before but I texted my vote a few times. I don't normally watch but I CAN'T STAND Fantasia!!!!!!! The the judges are horrible.....

I definitely believe they hope their opinions of Fantasia help with the vote.

I voted for Diana. I don't like the sound of Fantasia's voice.

regardless of what happened in her life, i am not sure that this should be taken into consideration given that it is a talent contest and not a morals contest, however, i will agree that much of America will take her unwed teen mother status into condsideration.
This didn't 'happen in her life'; she made it happen. Although I don't think American Idol is a morals contest, I do think that America should consider who it idolizes. We need good role models for our children, and like it or not, children look up to celebrities.
I think you're being a little hard on Fantasia. How do you know that she made it happen? Accidents do happen sometimes. I don't care that she's unwed or uneducated. How many singers and actors are educated? And as I've said before Diana is only 16, how do you know what kind of role model she'll be as she gets older? Plus if she wins this I highly doubt she's going to finish high school.
I'm all for Diana winning because I think she's more talented but I don't think Fantasia being a young mother should factor into anybody's vote.

I personally don't like Fantasia as a singer. Her singing is just not my style or what I like to listen to. But I don't think her being unwed, uneducated and having a child should factor into whether she wins or not. I look at it as now she has started up a career for herself and will be able to give her child a better life. Look at America today, how many unwed mothers are out there?? America and the people that live in it are not perfect, but Fantasia, well, maybe she will be an idol to other women in her position and help them to strive to become something for their children to give them a better life.

And why should my American 'Idol' be an uneducated, unwed, 19 year old mother? There should be higher standards for people we are supposed to 'idolize'.
Oh that is a good one!! Are you serious??? LOL!!!
Let's look at the other FABULOUS ROLE MODELS that children have:
J. Lo -- 12+ engagements! C'mon kids! It's fun to be engaged!!!
Britney Spears -- Shotgun wedding! Shotgun annullment! C'mon kids, its fun to get married in Vegas!!!
Christina Aguilera -- A$$ hanging out of leather chaps... the school uniform of the new millennium!!!!
Should I go on? Fantasia is taking responsibilty for being a mother (it does not matter under what circumstances it happened) and I APPLAUD that. Who are you to judge?
