Are the IDOL judges trying to throw the votes??

Original post by ThongLori

Anyone feel like they are purposely being cold towards Diana and gushing over Fantasia??

They certainly DO NOT seem impartial tonight....

I thought Diana was great. I text messaged my vote over and over for her. I can not stand Fantasia. I think she has the most annoying voice and I think the judges were really trying to throw the vote with their comments. Fantasia and her voice remind me of a tiny ant. You just want to step on her and shut her up.

This seems to be what most people think of her. Very few people that I know like her over Diana. I think Diana is going to win hands down.

I agree. I can't stand her. I was having a debate with fiance over fantasia after the show. He said that the song I believe was Fantasia's best performance. I just don't care for her voice.

I like Fantasia but I voted for Diana - like her a lot better. Fantasia does 'fill in' a lot with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's....

it seems that the judges are always giving her way more credit than she is due..i mean, it's a competition not a royal a** kissing contest!

according to eonline.com:

Based on the girls' performance Thursday at Fox's upfront, I'm praying for William Hung to make a comeback and reign victorious. It was bad, y'all. Fantasia and Diana were introduced by Ryan Seacrest via satellite--we were in NYC; they were at the House of Blues in Hell-Ay. Joining us in NYC were Ruben and Clay, and though their individual performances were decent, all of them then did a foursome whatchamacallit--a quartet--via satellite that was just ear-splittingly bad. A Fox insider told me ratings are down this season. No one's really behind any of the final contestants.

Fantasia is a better singer and entertainer hands down over Diana. When she sings you feel the words and the emotions. I didn't like her voice at first, but I think out of the two she's the best.

Diana can belt out the high notes, but she just doesn't do anything for me. Her bubbly giggle is so annoying.

Same here!! She's too giggly. But she's only 16. Don't get me wrong, I think she's good...but Fantasia is great

I thought it was disgusting the way they dismissed Diana and fawned all over Fantasia. Diana did great, and all Paula Abdul can muster is 'Good job'. Meanwhile Fantasia does crappy, and Paula keeps gushing about how great Fantasia is even when she's mediocre! W T F?

And why should my American 'Idol' be an uneducated, unwed, 19 year old mother? There should be higher standards for people we are supposed to 'idolize'.

Why does Paula Abdul clap her hands that way? Does anyone else notice this?

I've noticed it - it's like she's got wet fingernails or something.
I can't stand Diana! Simon said it right when he said something about her acting like she was in a pageant. Fantasia blows her away! She's got the personality for show biz. Diana belongs on Star Search.

I never voted before in any of the American Idols.. however last night I was totally appalled how the judges were praising Fantasia, and how they were so mean to Diana, that I voted! I called for a good 1/2 hour and must have put my vote in atleast 40x's. I really want Diana to win!!

Personally I think Fantasia SUCKS!!! She cant hit a high note or even hold it for a long period of time. I dont like the way she talks either.. she's too street. I think the judges favoritism is DISGUSTING!!! and I dont like how Fantasia makes every song feel like i'm at a gospel church.. it totally turns me off!!! BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The judges are right. Diana was totally off tune in the first 2 songs. I don't think they are throwing the vote because what they said was true. Yes Diana is cute... but she can't sing on tune.

I completely agree! What kind of idol is that? they should boot her for that....nothing wrong with that these days, but those should not be the standards for an American Idol....

regardless of what happened in her life, i am not sure that this should be taken into consideration given that it is a talent contest and not a morals contest, however, i will agree that much of America will take her unwed teen mother status into condsideration.

This didn't 'happen in her life'; she made it happen. Although I don't think American Idol is a morals contest, I do think that America should consider who it idolizes. We need good role models for our children, and like it or not, children look up to celebrities.

Re: Are the IDOL judges trying to throw the votes??

I've watched all the seasons of American Idol. And this season is by far the worst! I personally don't even want to watch the show anymore because of this season. I don't like either fantasia or diana. But according to consistency, I would have to vote for fantasia, only if I actually voted for this show.

America isn't right all of the time. I think tamyra should have won last year. And I think Reuben is a great singer, but he blew it with his 'I'M SORRY' song!

It is like a karyoke show. I think they should be writing and singing original songs, in order to judge them on their 'idol' performance.h

I gave up on this season when they voted off Jennifer Hudson, and kept 'Snappy' around for waaaay too many weeks. This has been a HORRIBLE season!

Latoya London was the best singer this season, hands down. (IMO)

BOTH Fantasia and Diana are far from the best pop singer in the country .. As I said, I haven't watched for a few weeks .. but I'm shocked that it came down to these two. I couldn't vote for either of them

I think Fantasia has talent in the 'get the audience involved' part but I really hate all the 'yea yea yea' and 'woah woah woah' parts.

Diana is great! I would love if I could hold notes that long and so well.

The judges are making me mad but the thing that p****d me off the most last night was when Fantasia was crying after 'Believe' like she knew she had the competition in the bag.

I hate Fantasia. She sounds like Donald Duck. I agree that Diana was totally off in the last song though. I still voted for her.

I would have to say out of the two that are left I would of voted for Diana, that is if I could get through. I tried over and over and couldnt get through. I really stopped caring about the show after Jennifer Hudson was voted off. It should of came down to Latoya and Jennifer....and I think Latoya would of won it.

Last nights performances werent their best. Fantasia was off key, and screaming her yea yea yeahs...and Diana was a little off key too. I am sure though, that the final 5 will have singing careers in the future:
George
Fantasia
Diana
Latoya
Jennifer.
