Who is having kids at there wedding?? Who is not--why or why not??? Must of our friends have kids so we don't want them to tell us that they can not make it because of the kids so we are send the invites as 'The Jones Family'

If we invite any kids we have to invite all 40 of them so we are doing adult only reception b/c of the $$ factor.

we're having any 1st cousins who are kids (most are over 12) - and OOT guests' children are also invited (not too many of them - thank goodness!)

We're not having any children at our wedding for a few reasons. So many friends have children and that would become really expensive! We also want our guests to have a good time and enjoy themselves.

I'm only have my brother's 2 kids and my FH's nephew. Everyone else is over 16.

we arent having kids ....FH and I dont think that its a place for kids ....are wedding isnt over till 1:30 AM - not the time or the place for them as a matter of fact my ring barer lives about a mile away for my hall and after the on site cermony his parents are taking him home

Our decision was easy... of all our fam and friends nobody invited (250 ppl!) has kids under the age of 9!! My flowergirl will be 9 and that's the youngest. None of our friends have kids yet.

Total guest will count is 130, out of those 26 children. We have two children of our own and I can't imagine having our wedding without them in it....

Yes, we are inviting kids, but it won't be too many, my cousins who are 15, 12, and 11, and 10. FH's niece and nephew who will both be 5 (and also FG and RB), and my Jr. BM (daugher of one of my BM's) who will be 8. So thats 7 kids. I have not decided yet if I will do a kids table, because there is such a range in ages.

Honestly I didn't want any kids at the wedding with exception to my FG who will be 3. I have always felt that a wedding is an 'adult' thing & many of the guests that have children would rather leave them home & enjoy themselves..Plus I could not see paying for kids that are barely going to eat...
it is all personal preference

We are NOT having children at the wedding. Way too many kids, way too much money! Plus, I prefer to have an all adult reception

We're having kids!! I've always felt that a wedding is a time to join 2 families together. To me that means the WHOLE family including the kids. I can understand not having them for $$ reasons tho. Which is why we're not having all of my 3rd cousins, just the ones I'm close to.
There really aren't too many kids tho. One of my BMs is going to be 15, her bro will be 12. Then my neice (FG) will be 3.5 and my nephew almost 2. I couldn't imagine not having them there!!
Plus, my FH has a daughter from his previous marriage who will be a jrBM. And FH's neice and his cousin's kids will also be invited.

Im still deciding this, at first i did not want kids to come because of $$ but i have the FG,RB, and 2 nephews in wedding, how fun will it be for them at reception if just them? so im thinking of inviting only close relative children and having 1 table thats kid table...

I am having a Saturday night black tie wedding. It will end at 1 am. I dont think it is an appropraite function for small children. Even the small kids in the BP are going home after the cocktail hour and some are family.

We're only having the immediate family children, FH's nieces and nephews (I have none yet!). If we invited all the children in the family, I think they would out-number the adult guests. Literally.
