Are there any Flowerfield brides out there?

Original post by nov2004bride

I am getting married at Flowerfield next November and thought I would add a Flowerfield thread (or try to) I feel left out with all the other hall threads.

Great pic Dawnie, thanks!
We are getting married there, but we are hoping the weather is nice so we can get married outside by the gazebo. Haven't thought of plan B yet.

Any input on their place cards and menus?

I am using their place cards and menus. I saw them and they were very nice.

I didn't use their placecards. I used enveloped ones from www.artisticaddressing.com. I wanted to put a personal note in every one but I ran out of time.

I am a flowerfield bride and getting married Dec 4th 2004. When I walked into flowerfield during the christamas season i fell in love. The way they decorate everthing is amazing. I never thought i would get married in the winter but seeing flowerfield changed my mind in a second. I also went for the food tasting which was amazing as well. Is anyone getting married in the winter(christmas) that can give me some ideas they are doing for favors, centerpieces etc.

I went to a wedding at Flowerfield August 2002, I absolutely loved it, and I would be more than happy to answer any questions. You will love your wedding.

I was married there in April. It was so amazing. It was a fairy tale come true. I was treated like a princess and it was such an elegant affair. I will chat about FF any day! IF you have any questions ask away!!!

Are/Did any Flowerfield brides putting/put flowers around the pond? I saw someone's pics from there and I thought I saw some extra flowers. It looked very pretty. Also, does anyone know if Flowerfield has there own steamer in the bridal suite? I heard they did but I just want to make sure. Thanks.

they supplied the pics for around the pond, and yes there is a steamer in the bridal suite, I got ready there. It was great, everyone was so attentive and helpful. I was a princess for a day!

I am so happy that there is a steamer there. I have a long ride from the church and I know I will be all wrinkled. And they supplied the flowers for around the pond? I knew they had candles but flowers?

I didn't know about the steamer - what a great idea!
Christy can I ask how early you got there to get ready? Did you get your hair and make up done there also? I'd like to do the same thing, but I don't know how early they will let me be there.
Thanks!

How's everyone's planning going?

Re: Are there any Flowerfield brides out there?

My hospitality was at 6, but we got there at 1:00 to start getting ready. I was literally there in sweats. I had my hair done at Cactus at 9:00 or 10:00...but everything else I did at Flowerfield.

I got my makeup done there, so did two of my girls. It was so incredible being there early. I got to watch my ceremony get set up, as well as the ballroom. It was magical to see it all transform to what I wanted for My Wedding!

As soon as we arrived Scott and my bridal attendant were there for me and my girls. We were given fruit, vegetables, champagne, water hot food etc...

Being there early was incredible, it really extended my time at Flowerfield. My DH showed up around 3:30, we had plenty of time to take pics, and relax before our wedding.

I highly recommend getting ready there, it was just a great experience!

Re: Are there any Flowerfield brides out there?

I wanted to get married there but we have to get married in a church. My FI and his family are semi-religious and feel we need to get married in a Catholic Church. I am not Catholic but figured I get to have everything else why not let him have the church thing It's the least I can do!

Re: Are there any Flowerfield brides out there?

That's very generous of you Allison!
Neither one of us is religious, so we decided to get married there. I've got my fingers crossed for good weather, I so desperately want to get married outside by the gazebo! We'll see!
