the VH w/ your reception??? if so what time will your reception end- i'm trying to decide if i need it or not- will guests start to leave b4 VH begins?

I doubt it, although we havn't found a venu yet so I'm not 100% sure.. we usually leave when VH begins

we're not doing it, every place wants a lot extra $$$ for it and it just wasn't worth it for us. We were thinking of possibly going to a bakery and bringing in our own pastries to be given to each table because at some places if you don't do the VH the only dessert is the cake, which is a load of crap.

we're doing a mini vienese because the reception itself ends at 1 so if we tack on the VH it wouldn't end until 2! I know that people aren't going to stay and it's going to be money wasted for us.

that is true!! what time is your reception- i'm thinking i might not do the VH - i might ask VYC if i can have my CH 30 min later or an hour- then i can go get pics done at OWG!!! how does that sound?

for me it will depend on the hall we finally decide with.....i dont need it....but one hall it's included so of course we will have it...and the other we would have to add it on, which we would probably not get b/c they do mini-viennese on the table and a coffee and cordial bar...there i would just try to get an ice cream bar thrown in

We are having the mini vienese trays on the tables to We didn't want to pay our DJ to stay the extra hour

we couldnt afford the VH or paying the dj to stay the extra hour. Were having another surpirse!! sorry guys i dont want to spill the beans!!!

p.s our hall wouldnt allow us to bring in our own cookies or any kinda of food for the tables we wanted to cuz it was cheaper.

personally i always think its a waste..it looks nice and everything but ppl are either too drunk or too full to eat most of the stuff anyway and it saves u like 1000...espically some rh have a dessert selection and then the cake..just my opinion

Im having one and my wedding will end at 1am. It did cost about an extra thousand dollars but its a saturday night wedding and i think people will really like it. I guess it depends on the day and your own preference...

My reception is during the day so we aren't doing it because there is another wedding after ours. The hall does a mini vienese on each table though.

We're having a huge VH! It came with the hall and not to mention my family is probably more excited about the VH than probably the whole wedding j/k

But our VH, I'm guessing, will be around 11:30-12:30 (it's in a seperate room so I asked the coordinator to leave if they could leave it out longer than usual) but we get to take all the leftovers home

I would but not for a extra 1,500 plus a dj OUCHIE!!! Plus everytime i have gone to a wedding with one no one eats the wedding cake and it goes to waste. Plus my hall does a pastry/cookie tray for everytable and i think i am going to add a good humor ice cream thingy because its the cheapest add one and at least it looks like i got one extra IoI

yeah, as of now we're planning on adding the half hour to the reception and doing a vienese in the atrium. Mind you this is all based on if (and when ) we book FF. We were able to negotiate a decent price that we feel mildly comfortable w/ and hopefully in a couple of weeks after comparing so i can justify spending this much we will be BOOKED...

Honestly though, the VH is off the HOOK!!!! I couldn't resist
