Are prices for vendors (DJ, Florist, Photographer, etc.) less expensive in February than spring, summer and fall months? Reception halls definitely are, but what about vendors?
I am wondering because the reception hall of my dreams gave me a good price, but my FH kindly pointed out that it is still out of our budget. So I am wondering if there are other aspects of the wedding that I can skimp on.

There are many ways to keep to your budget. I don't know about any vendors that are less expensive during February, but that's because I don't know - they may very well offer discounts because it's a slower time for them. For florists go with something that is in season, it will be less expensive.

Re: Are vendors cheaper in February?
I changed my wedding from the fall to February for that very reason (well initally because the hall was way cheaper than what we were originally going to pay). I have been able to negotiate with all of my vendors for a lot less than what they originally quoted me at, and I'm sure that that has everything to do with the time of year (or else we're just amazing negotiators, lol). I haven't done flowers yet, and I'm not sure if that will be more due to flower availability, but I guess it depends on what you want. Good luck planning !

I can't speak for all vendors but your flowers might cost a little bit more for your February wedding (Valentine's Day).

Hi Date twin.... i got married on 2/17/07 and we saved big time all around.....
Photo was $3500.00 Comparable to other times in the year... but he threw in the Video for FREE!
Band: they usually charged $5,000. We got them for $2300
Hall was ridiculously cheap....we paid $57.00 for a FIVE hour reception + cocktail hour ( 6 hours total)
Flowers... I iddn't do centerpieces, but I only paid about $600 for BP flowers and church flowers
Hotel: I talked them down from $139.00 a nite to $119.00 a nite for my OOT guests
Everything else I would save was average price... but i also shopped around and was on a big budget so i went with very affordable vendors and cut out a lot of the extras.

And certain things won't change no matter what time of the year your wedding is .... invitations, favors, etc.

I would think that you would have more room to negotiate with vendors because they are not that busy that time of year. I would say that yes, they probably are cheaper but you have to be sure to negotiate.
