Are we really supposed to get 24-30 inches of snow this weekend?

Hey don I hope we do get a lot of snow! I love to see 24 to 30 inches! I just called my job in the kitchen where i work and told one of my co-workers because she works on the weekend on sunday and she was like oh crap I have to work and I said not if we get that much you wont be! and she was like yea your right. we have not seen a lot of snow in a while.

On the one hand, I love a good storm. It's fun to go buy tons of food, hibernate, watch tv, read, etc. But it's also dangerous for people who get stuck on the roads. And the NYC Dept of Ed seldom closes, but then again if they get 2 feet I suppose they'll have no choice!

Twenty-four inches? I'll believe it when I see it, and not a minute sooner. Even when a big storm passes right over us, for some reason Long Island always gets jipped on the snow accumulations. All I need is >4 inches in Nassau for my job to close...

That WAS nuts. I was snowed into my apartment, literally. Between the amount that landed and the stuff that blew against the door, it was a huge pain. At least I was off that week and didn't have to worry about having to be somewhere.

I know my DH and I cut our vacation short in the Poconos and drove back that Sunday. By Monday you could barely get out your door!

Sunday (24 hours): Windy with a wintry mix of precipitation. Highs in the upper 20s and lows in the upper teens.

I'm optomistic. I don't think it's going to happen..whenever they predict, they are wrong..It's when they say 2 inches of snow is coming is when we have to worry..

like today! they said we are going to get two inches and the snowwas 'suppose' to start at 2 in the afternoon. it started at 10 by me. my gut feeling is we are going to get hit today.
