I know for my brother's RD (my parents hosted) they did not do favors
I do not plan on doing favors

most people get gifts at the rehearsal dinner right? all the attendants and parents... Who else attends?

I've been to RD's where they do favors and where they don't. I don't think its a 'must have', honestly the only reason I decided to do them is because they were so cheap! If I would have known about the cheesecake lady before I did my wedding favors, I would have done them instead!

You don't need to, no. DH and I did ONLY BECAUSE we saw something SO CUTE that we were dying to incorporate into our wedding and that was the only way we could do it! But I have never seen it done or heard of anyone doing it so it's not a 'supposed to' thing, like wedding favors.

I went to a RD where they gave out personalized chocolate bars. But I def do not think it is necessary.

FMIL is getting those personalized tins with the mints we also will be giving out our gifts to our BP AND GM.
