Are wedding programs necessary??

Re: Are wedding programs necessary??
they aren't necessary, but it is nice to have them. people will then know who everyone is (bridal party, parents, grandparents etc...) you can also put information about the ceremony/mass such as readings. i find it helpful....they don't have to be too costly...we are going to do ours ourselves.
Re: Are wedding programs necessary??
i'm not doing them, didn't want to spend the extra money
Re: Are wedding programs necessary??
We bought the paper from a Church store for $9.99, for 100 sheets and are printing them ourselves. Not really an extra expense.

I agree - it's one of things that if it's there I'll read it and take it home but if it's not there I'm not exactly searching high and low for it. I personally like them a lot and I've seen a lot of different variations. I plan on making my own and I figured that at $0.11 per sheet - two sheets per program I'm looking at $11.00 for 50 programs - printing - whatever the ink cost and the ribbon was $3.00. So basically $20.00.

We didn't have them . We thought they weren't necessary. I have been to many weddings that had them but also a bunch that didn't.
Re: Are wedding programs necessary??
I just made my own wedding programs, for a whopping $20! I bought a stack of 500 parchment papers, a template from MS Word and viola!

It's not necessary -- it's just nice to have. I'm making my own for as little $ as possible!
