different in person than on these boards?

i think im the same- maybe a little less honest about my opinion in person (im more honest about my opinion here when asked)
but i think my personality shows through in my posts for the most part

I'm a little more reserved on here. I am a very aggressive person and have a very competitive personailty.

The same for me too... I bite my tongue sometimes because its hard to portray what you are trying to say on a post. But in the 'Real World' I hardly ever hold my tongue.

I think I come across a little straight-laced and also spacy sometimes here. I can be spacy but I think the rest of my personality evens that out in person...

I know on here I've kind of got that 'sweetheart' reputation, which I really appreciate. It's also all over my yearbooks, so I think I'm fairly true to myself when I'm posting.

It's just funny bc I don't really get along with any of my female co-workers, I think they see me as a b!tch or something, prob bc I'm independent. But I don't think anyone on LIW would think that way about me, so go figure!

This would be interesting to ask at a GTG, am I who you thought I would be?

I sometimes feel an artificial security on LIW, so I'm more outgoing here than I am in person. I'm outgoing in person, but if I don't know anyone in a crowd I tend to sometimes get shy. WOTY was a little wierd for me since I had never met anyone before, except for a few brides in passing at bridal shops.

Same for me! I have never been to a GTG because of this reason.

I also have to admit, I am embarrassed to talk aboutthis site to a lot of people. They think I am crazy talking to people I have never met.

i dont know if my personality shows through my posts.... im also very shy in person when im around people i dont know... that is why im also so nervous about going to a gtg... some people that dont know me think that im bitchy, when it is really that im just being shy... however, once you know me, im far from shy...

This is me, I'm very shy in person until I get to know people which some perceive as stand-offish or bitchy. But, once I know people I'm more comfy and not shy at all. On here I'm pretty reserved, I tend to be a little silly in my personal life but I'm always afraid on here that it won't come across that way so I refrain from making comments that I'd make in person. I guess I'm always worried that it will be taken the wrong way when I'm just kidding or being sarcastic.

I think I am the same in person as I am on these boards. When I give an opinion, its my honest opinion about how I feel about an issue and I would say it to the person's face if need be. However, if unnecesary, I sometimes do not like to say certain things out loud and therefore, I prefer to say it on a DL or not say it at all.

However, I think I am very honest, sarcastic, and 'blunt' on here...same goes in person.

I wish I could 'talk with my hands' online...I do that often in person..

I am not sure if people perceive me the same on here as they do in person. I only went to one mini GTG with Maybride06 and Novia at the East wind...I wish I could attend more though...I am shy when I do not know people but once I know you and feel comfortable I very outgoing and honest!

I would have to say I'm a little different. Less blunt and out there than I am in person. There is no tone of voice or facial expression available to anyone reading a post, so I try to take that into account when responding. For example, unless someone says 'please be brutally honest' I tend not say I don't like something, but I will vote 'no' in a poll.
