My sister told me if you get china from bed bath beyond as a gift and don't want it they will give you cash back instead of a credit.

We did not. We live together and already have our 'nice dishes' for holidays and such. I think it is a waste and would rather other things or $ to put toward the honeymoon or wedding.

I agree, its like a now or never kind of thing for me too. We are definitely going to register for it. Back when my mom got married registering was not a common thing to do if it even existed and she did not get China. To this day she will walk around Macy's or BB&B and look at it and talk about how she always wanted China but never could afford to spend the money on plates.. My FH could care less about it but I love to entertain and when we do eventually live together and have a place I want a nice set of dishes to have in my china closet or in a cabinet idc as long as I can set a beautiful long table like a home goods magazine I'll be happy. Even if I got half and slowly collected the others for gifts over the years. Its something that I would love having over the years and eventually pass down to my kids so maybe they wouldn't need to buy it haha.

Yes, def. But I loveeeeeeeeee to entertain! I can't wait tomove out of our one bedroom so I can finally have people over for dinner parties and what not. I registered for a set that isnt too formal either and is dishwasher/micro safe. Very simple but elegant.
Nortiake Shoto.
I did the same. The noritake sets are affordable and classy. About half the price of the Lenox sets and just as pretty. Eventually I'll want to entertain, which I love to do but can't yet bc the house we live in now has no dining room. I have a huge immediate family so all holidays are a big to-do.
Anyone who isn't registering for china... Check out the noritake collection. Years down the line if u want a set you'll end up paying a ton of money out of your pocket instead.

We registered for the Noritake swirls i believe it is (in silver). FH's family always breaks out the china for holidays etc, and he considered it blasphamy to think we wouldn't do the same. lol

Re: Are you...
I'm not. Only reason being..I've been married before and I got all my china from my first wedding. Otherwise I would be having a shower and registering for it.

We plan on entertaining and having holiday dinners. My mom always uses her china for them, so it's weird to me not to. I registered for Vera Wang Blanc sur Blanc by Wedgewood..
