Are you a de Seversky bride?

Are you a de Seversky bride?

Just wanted to see if there were any others out there getting married at deSeversky (this year)? My date is Nov. 6, 2004. I am wondering who you might be working with and how things are going...

I'm in a wedding party at de Seversky in October (the 3rd). I can post a review afterwards. My friend who is having her wedding there doesn't settle at all so you'll definitely be receiving the best of everything.

Good luck!

I was just wondering who you were working with from there... since your wedding is further away, I would guess though that you may not have worked too much on the details (but I'll ask in case). Have you done your tasting yet? Do you plan on decorating the entire mansion? Do you think you will use the candleabras? Do you know what rooms you will use for the cocktail hour?

I am not a DeSeversky bride, but I used to work there, as a waitress. I have to say that the service is excellent

The food is really really good: Get the CRABCAKES, they are so good we used to sneak some.... Shhhh!!

I am working with Pilar and I have spoken with her numerous times already with different questions about the tables, if they have a piano, etc. She has been very helpful each time and very nice. I haven't done my tasting but I have been to 3 events there and it gets better each time. I do plan on decorating the entire place with red roses. I am flower obsessed. I am not going to use the candleabras. I am going for a different look. I am using the red room and the solarium for the cocktail hour and the main ballroom for dinner and dancing and the bar will be in the library. Hope this helps!

Hi!
Here is the website:

De Seversky Center Website

The number is 516-686-7675

This is interesting. Found this under vendor specials. This is much less then we are spending for a Saturday night wedding in October. But the ad makes it sounds like you have to have your wedding in July or August. Who the heck would book now for a July or August 04 wedding? Just passing it along.

Yes, I was hoping to be but after reading these reviews I'm a bit worried. I was going to put down a deposit this week but I'm a little hesitant. I wanted 200 people and I'm not crazy about the mansion style. Aren't people going to feel jipped they didn't get a real sit down dinner? I don't want people to think we took the cheap way out. Especially since it's the same cost as the traditional wedding..... Also, Debbie told me that no tents were allowed outside. What's the deal with that?
