Not at all!!!!!!!!! We never were, even when we first started dating. We will hold hands when we go out but thats about it and not all the time at all. He is more lovey dovey than I am though.

But I like the way other people admire different things about us. Like it sounds weird, but we are a confrontational couple. We debate a lot and we dont hold anything back. I have had people tell me that they love how we are so 'real.' Total strangers have told us it looks like we have been married for 30 years, which I used to take as an insult but I think they meant it more like a compliment..they said we compliment each other and we are so comfortable with each other.

So the public displays of affection mean less to us than the relationship itself..imo.

When we first started dating we were but we're not now. We hold hands and occasionally will give each other a quick kiss but are def. not overly lovey-dovey in public.

We hug and kiss and hold hands but we don't slobber one another. FH would love it if we do, but I am a little too conservative for that.

I also don't like to be that way in front of single friends because I always felt uncomfortable when others did it to me when I was single.

we kinda are- but we refrain a bit depending on the situation.

I don't think we are that lovey-dovey, but we definitely act like a couple in public, which I think is important. There is no doubt we are 'together.' I like holding his hand and giving him a smooch now and again, but we don't manhandle each other (ok, we've done the butt grab time and again..) At home, we are pretty much joined at the hip, though. I love being in his arms as often as possible!

IMO, I often think that some people who are sickeningly lovey-dovey or touchy-feely in public are trying to prove something.. Maybe its not a concious action, but they have some need to be over-the-top in order to 'prove' the are 'together.' I say that only because the ONLY time I was EVER like that with an 'ex,' that relationship was a mess in every other aspect. I sometimes cringe when I think of the way I was back then!! Ugh!!

Call me amateur psychologist ...

We are still pretty affectionate, but in the beginning FH was too funny!! I could not sit next to him at all without him touching me in some way!!! My friends would make fun of the way he would rub my hand, my back, kiss me etc... What is funny is that he is so quiet and not overly affectionate with anybody else. I guess it is cause he loves me so. I love that he is affectionate.

no way - we play fight and do funny butt grabs more than lovey dovey stuff.

FH's brother makes out with his girlfriends in front of the entire family including the grandparents - It's vile.

I think we are lovey dovey but not to the extent that makes anybody sick. We usually hold hands and kiss occasionally. FH never used to be like that before he started dating me. I noticed that he has become more affectionate since then. His siblings noticed it too and now they are more affectionate to their significant others when we are around. strange, we started an epidemic!!

I think so.

We don't make out in public or anything, but we hold hands, giggle, sit closely, joke around, etc.

I'm not sure we make other people sick, but it's obvious that we're happy.

Which is fine by me.

Same here!

I don't like the PDA (public display of affection) We hold hands and thats it.

We're affectionate in terms of hugging and holding hands but that's about it. We can be REALLY gooey behind closed doors but we don't do that in front of our friends. They'd probably be shocked at just how gay we are when no ones looking.

nope... But oddly enough when we go to weddings we are. I don't know if it is the atmosphere or what. But the last wedding we went an aunt of my friend pointed to us ans said..tehy are next. That was a year before we were engaged.

edited...don't get me wrong we do the hand holding ans occasional kisses..but nothing lovey dovey i think
