Random question #2 of the day

When you get gas are you a self serve or full serve kind of gal? How about when gas prices were lower?

I have ALWAYS been self serve. I went full serve once when it was cold - and the drunk gas attendent proceeded to hit on me (mind you - he was dressed up as Santa!). I vowed never to go full serve again

I'm full serve gal. I will not get self serve unless I am on fumes and don't have a choice.

but like Beth said, I won't pay extra for full service.

when i first read the title, i thought 'OFF TOPIC!!!' BUT to answer your question, i can do it both ways! it helps to know how since pretty much only huntington has full time full serve stations!

Self serve.
For a little while when I was still living w/ my parents there was a full serve station near by that actually had the cheapest price so I would go there.
But part of my reason for not using full serve now is that I generally use my credit card and I don't like to give it to them. I don't feel comfortable if it leaves my sight.

I immediately thought about pumping gas. Excuse me while I go search for my libido and fondly look back on the days when I couldn't get my mind out of the gutter!

I would love to have it full serve but for the most part I'm a self serve girl. Most of the stations by me are self. There's one that's full and it's 3 cents more a gallon all around. It has to be really cold or rainy for me to go full. Or if I'm dressed up to go somewhere.

Self Serve - ever since I was 16 and started driving, why pay like 40cents more/gallon to have someone else fill up the tank?!

Where I grew up, the cheapest place in town was Full Serve, so that's where my family always went.

My preference is to go wherever the gas is cheapest, which usually means self serve. I can pump my own gas, but I usually ask DH to do it for me!

yes easy for you to say in your warm southern state- it's cold here!

I don't refuse- I just perfer- and I wont pay extra for it- I need perium gas- it's almost $3 a gallon!

but when I do get full serve- I tip

hey now, I lived in LI for 28 years so I know what it is like....I just think it is funny that some people don't know HOW to pump their gas....I'm sorry, that is scary.

There's nothing to learn. The gas pump gives you directions. Try it once..it's liberating!

If it was the same price I would go to full serve, but I'm not going to pay someone more money to do what I can easily do myself.

I'm so bad I'm worse then self serve I make fi fill up my car and when he is not around My Dad does it for me I know I sound really spoiled right now, but on the w/e fi usually drives my car b/c it gets better gas mileage so it just makes sense that we get it filled up. I know how to do it I just don't want and I don't make him do it, but he refused to go to full serve.

I get full serve because the station by my house is the cheapest gas ever, and its also full serve.
