i only smoke when i hang out with jan05

hopefully for not too much longer. The time has come for me to try to seriously kick the habit. I'm terrified.

Don't be terrified! Just be mentally prepared, it's not half as bad as I thought it would be.

i tried one puff once, mostly just to get my friends off my back. I was 14

other than that, i never smoked, both of my grandfather's died because of smoking (one of a heart attack, the other from lung cancer).

They were 51 and 57 when they passed away... far too young

I've been smoking a looong time (15+ years), DH smokes and he wants to quit too ... I'm afraid one of us will falter and pull the other down. We both need to quit desparately - him for his sleep apnea, me so I can prepare my body for TTC'ing. Be both are tired & lethargic and it's just bad.
I have no will power - I wanted to lose weight for the wedding, instead I gained weight because I ate so much because all I did was think about food and dieting. I'm afraid it's going to be the same with smoking. I'll just think about it constantly and give up.

in college i smoked but i was never in love with smoking so i just quit whenver i wanted to.

some people think that is bull s-hit but its true.

i will have a cigar or a random cigarette when im drunk and social but it is not something i do and if cigarettes were gone off the face of the earth i wouldnt care
