If someone wronged or slighted you, and it couldnt be worked out, would you treat them the same way they treated you when a similar situation came up for them? Or when their time came, would you treat them better than they treated you?

I'm not an eye for an eye person at all. I'll forgive and forget. I don't like to hold grudges. I treat people the way I would want to be treated, and if they don't treat me nicely, I'll be upset for a little while and usually move on or get over it.

It depends on how 'wrong' they were - if it's something minor, Ithen 'll forget it. But if it's huge, I do hold a grudge, although I'm working on changing that.

I don't believe in revenge because I'm very aware of 'energy' and karma and I wouldn't want to put out anything that I don't want to receive.
I will forgive also because I dn't hold grudges, but I will never forget and will keep my guard up or keep my distance.

I wasnt thinking so much of revenge as much as if someone was, for example, selfish or stingy to you at a time when help wasnt NEEDED, but would have been appreciated. If the time came would you be the same to them (and of course not if they are in desperate need)

I'm not an eye for an eye person at all. I did learn the true meaning of this quote (from scripture) because I always had it wrong. I thought the meaning was, if someone wronged you, you had the right to retaliate. But it meant that you only had the right to be avenged in kind. For instance, if someone stole your coat, you could not take their coat, plus all their clothes, plus all their jewelry, etc. It was meant to keep vengeance in check.

nah. i'm too much of a sucker. if someone treats me badly and I have the opportunity to do the same, I feel too badly about being mean. I just can't do it!

When I was younger, I used to be very revengeful. In the past few years I really learned that life is way to short to let things get in your way. Now I just move on-and keep moving on...

it depends on the extent of the wrong-doing. if it's a terrible act then yes, i do believe in an eye for an eye. other than that i'll forgive but sometimes will not forget.. at least it takes a while for me to forget it.
