Are you and your DH mingling during the CH?

Just curious... or are you going to make your first grand entrance when the DJ/band introduces you at the reception?

I wanted to make the grand entrance as husband and wife and not go to my CH but my Dj (thanks Vinny) advised me against this he said i should go out and mingle so i would not spend too much time of the reception mingling

We're not missing the CH on purpose, but it will most likely happen that way. We will be going back up to the bridal suite to be alone right after the ceremony (Jewish tradition) and then possibly taking pictures, so we probably won't have time to go to the CH. I'll make sure the Bridal Attendant has CH food waiting for us in the suite, though!

we went to ours... and i'm soo glad! we got to just relax, mingle with everyone and get a lot of the 'hellos' out of the way so we could enjoy the reception... not to mention we got to eat some of the great food we paid for
not to get down on anyone who did this... but even if you want to wait to be introduced at the reception, at least let you BP mingle during the coctail hour....
i was in my friends wedding this passed summer. my DH and my parents went as well. the coctail hour was in the same room as the reception. my friend did not seat my DH and my parents at the same table, so my poor DH was stuck across the room from them with nobody to talk to. there was a VERY SMALL bridal suite that the BP was supposed to stay in for the whole coctail hour. but, i went into the reception room for just a second to say hi to my DH and to give him a bag that had my sneakers and regular clothes from that morning in there... and my friends mom literally yelled at me ' you're not supposed to be in here! you're supposed to be in the bridal suite'... i was in there for literally 2 minutes! so then i had to go and be crammed in a small room with like 20 people for the rest of the coctail hour.... i think that the BP should at least be allowed to mingle around, and then somebody can track them down about 10 minutes before they are supposed to get announced.

Our hall allows us to be part of the cocktail hour outside on the patio overlooking the gold course. When they bring the guests into the hall for dinner, etc, this is when they will introduce everyone.

After pics, we are mingling, eating and drinking! We extended the CH to 2 hours - can't wait!

We are definitely mingling during CH - and still plan on a grand entrance during the reception.

We plan on saying Hi to all of our guests during the cocktail hour. I want to thank them all for coming becasue I told my FH, once the reception starts, if anyone wants to talk to me, I'll be on the dance floor

Definitely will be at our CH. I think that is usually such a fun part of a wedding, and I don't want to miss out on anything! We have actuallu decided to do our pictures before hand so we can be there.

no - will be taking photos during that time.

got our cocktail hour extended though...will be 1.5 hours so hopefully we will be able to get to some of it at the end..

My thoughts exactly! I want to spend as much time as we can talking to guests so that once the reception starts, we can DANCE!!!!!!

We are definetely going to the cocktail hour. I had a big to do with my hall to make sure they started at a later time so I could go to the cocktail hour! We are having our wedding at Lombardi's on the Sound and the cocktail hour room looks out on the water. Plus, everyone raves about the food during the cocktail hour. So, I want to enjoy what all of our money is going towards!

We're waiting for the reception to come out. We're taking our photos during CH and then we have to get back to the hall to make our GRAND entrance from the floor

We will be there at the CH! I don't want to miss one minute of the wedding. Also, everyone already saw us at the church, so there is no big surprise anyway!
