I am debating whether or not i want to use fake flowers or real flowers for my brides bouquets.
If you used fake flowers please tell me your experience with this.

I was originally going to use fake flowers, but I heard this florist was willing to work with budgets. She gave me a price for real flowers that was cheaper than buying fake flowers. I would shop around first and see what is best for you!
ETP - I forgot to mention, I was in a wedding party that used fake flowers. The bride's bouquet was real though. There really is no difference. They came out fine in pics.

Re: Are you bouquets going to be...
mine were real but i have seen fake flowers as the bride's bouquet before in a martha stewart article. the fake flowers were made out of beads and it looked really pretty! but you're probably talking about silk flowers which i never seen in a bouquet but they look so strikingly real. there's a few stores at the flower district that might have your answers. OH! i have their business card. a place called STARBRIGHT floral design on 28th street 800 520 8999 or starflor.com. i was thinking about getting silk flowers for my wedding because my day was split into 2 seperate days. but i opt for real instead. i just couldn't get my lily of the valley out of my mind. the scent is amazing! oops! i'm talking too much here! hope this works out for ya!

I'm using silk for the bouquets, bouts and corsages. I've made my and my MOH's bouquets and the bouts so far, and they have come out nice.

I prefer real, however you can keep silk....I like the smell of real flowers though....
If you want silk because you want to keep your bouquet, you could get a replica made...
I'm not sure if that was any help, I seem to have confused myself!!!!

Re: Are you bouquets going to be...
I used real flowers - I perfer real.
My bouquet was white roses with stephanotis - I was a little sad because white roses are so delicate and they turned brown quickly (but they turned after the photos).
My BM's had roses as well, but assorted pinks and they lasted a long time.
My friend used fake flowers (because her bridal party was allergic and they'll last forever) and they looked good and in photos you didn't even notice the difference.

Most silk flowers are more expensive than real..so if that is your concern, then go with real.
In photos, real and quality silk flowers are hard to distinguish..but I think in person a real flower is easy to identify.
