Are you buying your FH a gift for the day of the wedding?
My friend was telling me that you usually buy a really nice gift for your groom to open the morning of the wedding....and he gives you a gift to open the morning of the wedding. Are you doing that?

i would love to - we talked about it. But with the $$ we are spending - we can't afford to!! Our gift to each other are our wedding bands!

I was going to buy Peter a Tag Huer watch. But now he's been saying he wants a Breitling watch He hasn't asked me for it, but has mentioned it in passing. I'm really going to try to buy it for him, but they're VERY expensive, so I don't know if I'll be able to.
ETA: Peter is getting me a necklace to wear the day of.

I always wondered if you were suppose to give each other gifts too... I am sure something little would be nice, but I have no clue what to get my FH

Humm, I think the wedding will be our gift to each other Seriously, we can't afford it either...
I'll probably write him a love-letter to read before the wedding.

We agreed on no gifts. However, I bought a card to leave on his pillow the night before and I am surprising him with a grooms cake at the wedding.
His best present is definitely me

Yes, we are! I got him the Christian Bernard Engagement watch and he got me a 1/2 carat pave (sp?) heart necklace and 1/3 carat earing to match to wear on our wedding day!! I can't wait to finally wear it.

I gave him Myself...And He gave me his Heart!!! We really couldnt afford anything else...But I will Take his heart over ANY material gift..

We decided that instead of actual wedding gifts, we were going to continue our tradition of getting partial season tickets for the Rangers and the Yankees. We didn't think we could afford it this year with the wedding, but we decided this is a gift we could truly enjoy. We love going to the games together. We will definitely enjoy it.

LOL.. I wanted to get him a watch, but it always gets stuck in his armhair. We may get something after the wedding if we cant decide.
**I think its kinda cool.. I know someone who has their great grandpas watch from His wedding day... It was given to his grandpa, and to his dad, and now its on to him.**

Emily, that is such a cute idea! I am giving my FI a scrapbook of all our years together, a nice card, boxers from Page Panties with the wedding date on them and the 'key to my heart'

I am putting $20 a week away to buy him a mavado watch that he always wanted. We are also paying for the whole wedding but I did want to do this for him and this was an idae my SIL gave me to save.

I got FH a tagheuer watch. I wanted to do something special because he gave me the most amazing engagement ring and at the time I couldn't afford to give him an engagement gift. I'm hoping he doesn't get me a gift - between the money he is contributing to the wedding and the ring - he has done MORE than enough!

We decided not too, but I did buy him a Mavado watch because he bought me the ring and I never got him a engagment gift so shhhhhh it's a suprise
