Are YOU Changing Your Last Name? POLL

Ok, so I didn't change my last name on my marriage license 'cus I got last minute jitters when they asked...

Is it too late to change it now? Is it alot of trouble? Ugh, I don't even know if I want to change 'cus I'm ethnically different from DH so people are gonna look at me funny when I say my last name is X Smith. :(

At first I was going to hyphenate. But that was because I thought I could just add it on without having to go through the whole legal name change thing. I have since found out that even to hyphenate you have to do the name change. So I might as well just have one last name

I am SO changing my last name! It's not that I don't like mine, it's just that I feel like if I don't his family would think it was disrespectful. Plus I want to. I can't want to be the third Mrs. S------!! (His mom and sister-in-law call us the S------ Trifector!) I am so excited to be announced at the church and at the reception as Mr and Mrs Michael S------! It's gonna be so cool!!

I've already changed mine - took me less than 24 hours since I received the marriage license for me to start taking care of the name changing.

My father has 3 sons to carry on his name, and I've wanted to be Mrs. S since the day I met DH!

I am going to take his last name. Although, it's going to take some getting used to, I like the tradition of our family all having the same name.

Thats how i feel 100%! Do i look like a Diaz?!? I think not LOL But im doing it bc we had a child and she has his last name! I hate it when i go to a Dr w. her and they call me Mrs. Diaz and im not and when they notice im not 'her' they ask whos the mother! Gets me soooo mad!

I'm keeping my last name. FH couldn't care less and I love my maiden name. if we decide to have a child one day he/she will have both our last names.

and OMG i just noticed you have 10K plus posts! OMG! Does Ron give a prize for most posts ever, ya think?

I am eventually going to do it. I reallly have just been lazy. I feel kind of torn about it, but I use his name sometimes - I also still use my maiden name, and I feel strange using both.
I went to DMV a couple of months ago an it was so busy I walked right out. I live and work in the city, so everything is busy. One of these days I will take a day off and go out to LI to do the whole thing.

Well, I am changing my last name, but so is he!

I'm going to change my last name to his current last name, then in the future we're going to change both of our last names to his grandmother's maiden name. (Long story...)

I changed mine b/c my name wasINSANE. If you like yours and want to keep it, GO FOR IT. Only YOU can make this decision.

i'm not changing my last name for two reasons----first off, FH's last name rhymes with my first. second, i cannot stand the thought of having his family's last name. i'm not a huge fan, to say the least.
