Are you considering getting a 2nd job for the wedding?
My gf and her FH recently got 2 jobs so they can pay for their wedding... not sure if FH and I want to take this route yet since our current jobs are extremely stressful ...
Anyone doing this now?

I'm still working on getting ONE real job..
but once I find a legal job I'd consider keeping my current job as a part time/weekend thing for extra money for the wedding. It's not just payoing for the wedding we're concerned about but having enough money to pay for and furnish a place to live after the wedding, so we can take all the $$ we can get.

no way! i have enough going on with 1 job, school, and wedding planning. FH has the opportunity to work OT pretty frequently, so he'll just do a few of those if we need extra $$. i seriously thank god for that every day bc idk how we would manage if either of us had to get a 2nd job.

I have 1 job and I tutor on the side, so I don't know if thats counts as a 2nd job, but all extra is going to the wedding fund. I just hope FH gets a job soon because that would REALLY be helpful!

Yes I already have 2 jobs. I work 7-2 as an accountant in an office. And then I also work for an attorney who's a family friend, doing projects for him when he needs me. It's off the books, so it's really good money.

Fortunately, I dont have to get a 2nd job for the wedding. I am also VERY lucky that my parents are paying and love them very much for it. I may have to get a 2nd job if I use the 'photographer of my dreams' because my parents are not going to pay for him!

I've had 2 jobs since before I even met FH! I was considering getting a third (like a couple of nights of bartending) but that would just be crazy. FH has been getting a lot of side work from my father and on his own and everything he gets from that goes straight to the wedding.

hmmm ive thought about it, but I realize how much I love my weekends and can't think of a job where i'd get paid a lot for a small amount of time working so i figured i'd rather just spend less instead of work more
suxx bc i really want to go clothes and shoe shopping!!!! Love fall stuff

I work 2 jobs and it sux lol but I've been doing it since before we were engaged. I'll probably keep both of them until I'm preggers - then I'll quite the part time one.

Same here! Got the 2nd job to help pay for house things (work @ housware store). But i've gotten used to the extra money-plus it helps pay for wedding things. Will definetely leave once we become pregnant.

I would if I had the time work and school is just to much to get a weekend part time job. So instead fh is going to work part time on the weekends. We need it bad since ummm its 7 months to go.

I work as an accountant now - i was looking for another off thebooks side job doing that same kinda stuff... can't find one, but FH's job schedule allows him to have a side job. so he has a side job now, its really only for the summer and for spending money, but it helps us be able to go out on weekends and still save!
