Are you considering getting a 2nd job for the wedding?

My gf and her FH recently got 2 jobs so they can pay for their wedding... not sure if FH and I want to take this route yet since our current jobs are extremely stressful ...

Anyone doing this now?

Unfortunately yes I'm a teacher who never worked over the summer, but had to do it this summer and I plan on tutoring A LOT during the school year. My FH has been working overtime and a second job for the last few weeks. Its at the point we see eachother 2 or 3 nights a week

I was looking for a new job even before FH proposed because i knew it was going to be expensive. I actually had a second job earlier this year to start saving some money. It ****** having a second job because it cut your free time in half . I was going to the second job and then running over to my first job 4 times a week. I had no real weekends, it was crazy and stressful. I got lucky and recently found a new job that is paying more otherwise I would have had to get another 2nd job because weddings are expensive no matter how much you save.

i got a second job as a waitress 3 nights a week. every dollar from there is going towards the wedding! it's working out so far! I'm hoping to pay for most of it with that, then fh can continue saving for a house... crossing fingers!!

I work 2 jobs and it sux lol but I've been doing it since before we were engaged. I'll probably keep both of them until I'm preggers - then I'll quite the part time one.

same here. 2 jobs since undergrad, and i plan to leave my pt (geeze ive been there since high school) a month before the wedding so FH and i can have weekends together

we almost were going to have to do this, until we decided to book our wedding on a Thursday and move it to 2011. It has really been a pleasure and stress free! I can't imagine had we done it in 2010 like I originally wanted it would have been so stressful!

i already have 2 jobs - but i'm working on getting one real full-time job, then i probably would keep my second (weekend job) until after the wedding at least

FH and I have been having arguments about this latley. now that i found 1 main job which pays ok i still want to get something for the weekends just for a little while. While I wasnt working we basically used all of our savings so i want to build that back up. He just got weekends off from his job so he wants to use the weekends to spending time together.

heck no! NO NO NO! FH and I already have such a hectic work schedule, i don't even think we could squeeze this in we also have been saving for the past 2 yrs in anticipation of this engagement so we're so far ok on cash...i hope it lasts
