I was thinking of having small bowls w/ water and a flotating rose or gerber daisy on the tables.
Do you normally decorate the serving tables or anything else?

My florist said they would give us some flowers for the cocktail hour... I think that's all we're doing though.

Im not decorating the cocktail room. THe tables are small and i just wanted there to be room for people to eat.

I'm not, a waste of money to me because I dont think people will really notice since I dont remember what was on the table at cocktail hour for any wedding I have been to.

every florist that i spoke with said that they would do it but the tables are small and that most people will just move the flowers so they have more room, that they kind of go to waste,so we decided not to decorate that room

Westbury Manor has either small potted plants or small vases with flowers on the tables at cocktail hour so I'm not adding anything else.

The potted plants are such a great idea. That way the guests can take them home as another favor. Thanks for the idea

i wasnt planning on it since the cocktail hour room at my RH is already beautiful. but maybe something small on the table..just not sure what yet

Our reception hall puts one floating flower on each table, other than that I'm not doing any decorating.

Our reception hall for the Holiday season puts baby poinsetta's on each table...I think that's more than enough for the cocktail room.

My florist suggested doing something like that because there are 6 smaller tables for guests to sit at. I opted for candles with rose petals (trying to take the cheap route for a change).

i am actually having exactly what you plan on doing at my cocktail hour. i went with verbena designs and it was only $5 each bowl with a floating gerbera in it.

My florist is going to put some low centerpieces on the tables, flowers and candles on the mantles, and an arrangement on the bar
