Are you/ Did you do OOT bags?

I'd like to but we have over 40 rooms. Also, our hotel charges for each bag they give out. I feel like it's going to be too expensive at this time.

Yikes! Why do they charge? Is it really that hard to hand someone something when their checking in?

I'm planning to do them.

I did them....I think its just a nice touch for the guests. You can do them pretty inexpensively... get some gift bags online and go to Costco and get a few things. You dont have to go crazy, but its a nice gesture and I think the guests really appreciate it. I know I do everything I go to an out of town event.

No - we're not having many OOT guests and our favors are PHE-NOM-ENAL. At least to me they are.

Personally I never eat or look at anything in the OOT bags and it's just something else I have to carry out of the hotel.

Yes. We had over 40 rooms also and initially they said they charge....but they were nowhere near sold-out otherwise and I basically told them that if not for my wedding, they would have made no money that night, so the least they could do was knock off the $2 per bag charge, and they did. Give it a shot.

I always appreciate them when I stay over at a hotel for a wedding, if only for the water bottles if nothing else...for whatever reason i'm always thirsty at hotels...maybe the rooms are always dry.....anyway...it's just a nice gesture I think. Not necessary of course though, no one's going to complain if you don't do them.

I'm doing them. I think it's a thoughtful gesture on the bride's part. But...I only have about 10-12 guests staying at the hotel. 40 bags would be a lot of time and $$!!!!

We have 40+ rooms and are doing OOT bags. SPent around $130-150.

But that charge is so absurd! Tell them to knock it off!

I can't. No motivation and my guests are from Ireland mainly so won't be expecting them or even know what to do with them.

WHAT are they nuts?

Ours didn't charge I had the same amount of Bags. I did tip the head Concierge - maybe that helped?

I advise like $20

I am doing them- but I only have about 10 OOT Guests so it wasnt too overwhelming or pricey I personally like them- I get excited seeing a bag filled with goodies- if you decide to do them just keep it simple

My hotel said they'd charge if they had to give out specific bags to certain people. If they were all the same they wouldn't charge. I would definitely fight that .I think it's a nice gesture. I know I liked to get them when I stayed at a hotel for a friends wedding. Ps...this is a long winded way to say I am doing OOT bags
