Re: Are you doing guestbooks?
im doing pictures as a guestbook.
im making boards with the guests' names. the idea is that they take a polaroid picture (put their names on it/write a little note with marker)...find their name on the board and replace their name with the picture. we're going to have short instructions and an example (and hopefully someone standing there for a little)...we'll see how it goes!
i saw something similar in a martha stewart magazine.

Re: Are you doing guestbooks?
i was at a wedding this weekend, and like only 3 people signed the guest book so that was my final decision against having one. I decided that if i get one as a present i will use it, if not, i am not buying one.

I didn't want to do a book 'cuz i'd never look at it again. So we're doing a wall hanging. My mom's friend is doing it, and it's gonna be neat. We'll hang it up

Re: Are you doing guestbooks?
I just got a signature photo frame at Michaels instead of a guest book. It was $24 normally but I got it for 40% off. It's much nicer than the one they sell at BBB - which is like $40 and the mat around the frame looks a little flimsy to me.

Re: Are you doing guestbooks?
we're doing a guestbook with pics of ourselves and guests sign around the pics. That way, it doubles as a photo album.
I'm bringing it to the rehearsel dinner so at least our most important family and friends get to sign it.

No. If people wanted to write something, we had a wish bowl instead.
How did you do your wishbowl?
I got a glass vase, decorated it with ribbons in pink and white, put out small pretty papers next to it and a pen, also had a framed message telling people to write a message to the newlyweds on the paper and drop it in the bowl.

Re: Are you doing guestbooks?
I did a polaroid guestbook...it worked really well because our hall had a waiter take the pictures of people as they waited in the receiving line. I'm really excited to look through them all and what people wrote. I really thought it wasn't going to work but it's really a nice thing to have.

I had thought of doing this but not sure where to get the polaroid products since they are starting to discontinue...

Did you have a little poem or something? What did people write? What are you going to do with the papers?
