My mother wants me to do the bouqet toss. I told her that I hate it and would aim for a ceiling fan, so the bouquet bursts all over the place. lol

I am doing a last couple standing gift. As the last couple standing at my wedding might be too frail to dance. Something to think about!!!

I'm just going to present them with something small (a picture frame maybe) and tell them that in ## of years we hope to be the last ones standing.

We are doing the 'last couple standing' AKA the anniversary dance.

We did not do bo-k because we had no single poeple (except nieces & nephews!).

I did the last couple standing song and presented the bo-q to my grandparents who were married 65 years.

I didn't want to do the toss and DH did not want to do the garter toss either, so we figured this was the best option.

It was a huge hit and the DJ did a fabulous job

We're not doing the bo-k/garter throw. The next week after my wedding is my parents 30th anniversary. I'm probably going to play their song and give my mom flowers....not sure yet

I really think that it depends on the crowd of people at your wedding. I am not doing the garter or bo-k toss, or the last couple thing.
(our wedding is fairly formal, and i dont really like those things, anyway)

I say do what YOU want!! Dont you love saying 'that is not what I want, so we;re not doing it!'

How many times do you actually get to be a little demanding and what not? i love this!!

can you do both the toss and the dance? Is that too much? Would I need two bks?

I'm not doing the bouquet toss because FH and I are literally the last of the singles in our respective groups.

I have not heard of the last couple standing thing before.

As much as I would like to skip the bo-k and garter, my surprisingly traditional FH is all gung-ho about them.

So alas, as I am letting him make limited decisions, I'm giving him this one!!

We did this and it was pretty cool that the couple that won has been married for 62 years!!

does your husband take the garter off your thigh and then throw it?????

We are also not doing cake cutting or garter - too much time away from the fun for our guests.

We did the bo-k toss, you'll be surprised how many people look forward to it

I never wanted to do the garter or bouqet toss and was planning on doing the anniversary dance. However, most of our friends are young and single and were very dissappointed when they found out we werem't going to do it. So now, to make our friends happy, we decided to do the tosses.

We are not doing any of those things. I ALWAYS hated when people would make you stand up to try and catch the bo-k.

we're not doing the bo-k toss because the majority of our guests are married or they are children under 10..but even if i probably still wouldn't do it..
