I am getting them and only putting them on specific tables, with people I know will take nice pictures. I work part time in a photo lab so I can get the cameras cheap and develop them myself and only do the pics I want...so it's worth it for me. I used them for other things and was pleasantly surprised with quite a few of the pics.

i dunno what i'm gonna do.

the cameras are like $3.99 and it's only like $4.99 a roll to get them developed at costco.

seems like it's the only cheap thing that i might as well do it.

Nope! That's what the PHOTOGRAPHER that's getting paid $5k is for! And I know that if I did put cameras on the table, all the kids would grab them and take pix of people's feet and a$$es!!!

I've been to weddings where people snap tons of pics with them and take the cameras home because they want the pics.

DO TABLE CAMERAS!!! They were SO worth it! We got the ones with 800 speed film and the pics came out amazing... plus we got 4 or 5 black & white cameras mixed in there so we have a whole table camera album with color and b&w pics. I think out of the 15 cameras (24 pics in each) we only threw away 6 pics!!!!!! Our friends/fam got really creative and we have some really funny ones.

Yes we paid a lot for our pro photographer AND our family took a lot of digital pics for us, but we're so glad we have the table camera album. It's so fun to look at!

The 800 speed cameras aren't too expensive... we maybe spent a little over $120 on the cameras and another $100-ish on developing. Well worth the $$$ spent!

Just wanted to share my experience.

ETA: We put a little sticker on the back of each camera saying 'Please leave for the bride & groom' or something to that effect.

Nah, not I.
I had my digital camera with me at the time, but a couple at our table snagged a couple of them to take home.

i am going to do these... who knows there just might be great pics the photographer missed!

i am getting them at bj's or costco... and will out a label on the flash so people don't forget to use it! and also, a note saying to please them for us and i'll find a nice way to say please take appropriate pictures!

I'm not. Everyone has digital cameras now so they can just send us the prints. I don't want to waste the money on printing out pictures that may or may not be any good.

I'm not.. I have seen too many inappropriate pictures taken with those things.. I'm a bit apprehensive.

nope...most people at our wedding will bring their own cameras and will send our families copies of the pictures


same here. plus, while i know there are brides out there that say they got some great shots back---there are just too many horror stories of the B&G spending $$ on the cameras and developing to get lots of pics of random people, unfocused things, dinner courses, and genitalia. (when the drunkards hit the bathroom with it)

No, my friend did last year and all she got were blurry pictures of peoples feet and food.

I was thinking about it, but then I remember all the stupid pictures I took at my cousin's wedding, and I rethink the idea. You can always set up a site where people add their digital pictures (since most people will bring their own cameras). Plus, people's own personal cameras will take much better pictures than cheap disposable ones.
