Are you doing traditional vows or writing your own vows?
If you are writing your own, are you memorizing them or reading it off a piece of paper.
I'm afraid I may forget my vows when I get to the alter!

I'm getting married in a week and I still didnt write mines yet. My officiant wouldnt let me use a traditional vow :( I have to write it.

Writing our own and bringing them with us. Our officiant told us to not even try to memorize them.

traditional .. but i do have a poem for fh .. at this point there is no way i'm going to remember it ..paper it is...

Traditional vows. I'll be repeating after the priest. There's no way I'd make it through vows I'd write myself, I'd get too emotional I think and also I'd forget what I wanted to say!

I think it depends on your personality...I would love to write my own vows for that personal touch but I am going to be an emotional wreck...I would sob throught the whole thing! LOL! I cry at commercials...I have a problem! LOL!
Also. FH would be nervous and i don't want to make him do something he is not completely comfortable doing. JMO

As part of our pre cana, FH and I had to write love letters to each other...I think we are going to keep those as our private, personalized vows and use the church's vows on our wedding day...but then again, saying your own vows during the ceremony is really wonderful... i don't know..

Our minister says that we can use traditional vows or write our own. We are seriously considering writing our own. If you don't mind me asking how did you write your vows?

We used our own vows. The celebrant said them low and we repeated them loudly. It was awesome.
