FH and I will dance the entire first song by ourselves. I'll have another slow song play immediately after where the best man and moh will join us and then other couples will be invited to join in.

We danced the whole song by ourselves and I made sure the dj knew not to invite people. I wanted ONE dance for the night of just me and my husband and it was the best. We danced and talked while dancing and were looking around at just everyone there staring at us, thata they were all there for us. It was sooo special!! I had a second song picked for our parents and bridal party and then everyone else to join in.

This sounds so sweet. FH doesn't like to be the center of attention, so guests will be joining in. That's ok, because we'll just keep dancing together, just not singled out.

I want the first dance to be for just the two of us. I dont like bridal party dances - my side won't know his side and it will be awkward.

we are deciding, we may dance whole song ourselves
if we do not and we invite others with us it will ONLY be our parents... Not the BP and not the guest.,
BP is an uneven # of people who barely if at all know eachother- they all have SO's they would want to dance with- i dont really like the BP dance... jmo

I think we'll do that too. I feel the same way. I even feel wierd about having our sweetheart table at the front of the ballroom.

because our chosen song, L-O-V-E by natalie cole, is a short one, scott and i decided to have that dance to ourselves with teh bp standing at the sidelines. but for hte 2nd dance we arranged for the bp to join us. had our song been a longer song i wouldn't have had teh guts to dance any longer than that. i'm a lil shy

I think we'll invite the bridal party and guests half way thru. my bridal party is not evenly paired. so I want my best friends to be able to dance with their boyfriends. and, my nephews are teenagers and probably won't want to dance. so, I don't want to put anyone on the spot. as for myself and FH we don't care too much for being the center of attention-actually I take that back Mike's a LEO so, he does.
