our wedding song is pretty short, just 3 minutes. so we're dancing to it alone.

We had 2 songs. For the first one, we were completely alone. For the second one, we were still dancing and the bridal party and parents were invited to dance once the 2nd song started.

This worked out perfectly because it gave the photographers and videographers enough time to get excellent shots.

Also, my MIL thought it was a good idea because guests like to look at the bride and this gave everyone enought time to watch and take their own photos.

I think I'd like to dance alone too. I guess it'll depend on the length of the song, like the other ladies said.

We danced the whole song by ourselves and I made sure the dj knew not to invite people. I wanted ONE dance for the night of just me and my husband and it was the best. We danced and talked while dancing and were looking around at just everyone there staring at us, thata they were all there for us. It was sooo special!! I had a second song picked for our parents and bridal party and then everyone else to join in.

great idea!! what song did you use for the 2nd song? i was thinking of doing something like that but didnt want a 'mushy' song ... any ideas?

It was just us the whole time, we had a choreographed dance, which took us all over the Ballroom floor, so we didn't want to bang into anyone!
Plus, we figured it would be nice to have one dance to ourselves that night.
