i really really hate this crap. we shouldve had a smaller wedding. we are just throwing money down the toilet at this point.

Like I said in your other post we are dealing with the same thing. My dad is going to tell the hall that night that he wants all the extra dinners packed to go. My parents feel atleast that way they don't have to worry about cooking the next day.

yeah. everyone has a reason.

here they are so far....

1) work schedule (umm, hello. this one is BS)
2) they were in europe so flight travel got disrupted b/c of volcano ash so by the time they get back, they have to take care of other things (valid reason, but annoying cuz this person invited themselves to the wedding!)
3) dog got sick and need to separate from newborn. so her mom cant watch both (originally mom was babysitting) - valid, just sad cuz i wanted her to b there
4) OOT friend's wife uncle died last week, so they cant travel two weeks in a row (this sounds valid, but it doesnt make sense. b/c the guy has 938402394832984 frequent flier miles from work, so its really not a big dealll)

...lets see what is next

this is effing bs.

I had a woman cancel on me but before deposit and since I was paying cash...they let me take her off.
BUT day of, 4 no shows. One his FIL had heart attack ok..
one never called to this day (friend of FHs) and then a couple who we heard broke up but at least call..no she left a FB message for H on his wall..sorry...H was no nice back and I told him why was he so nice? Just ignore. He said oh they are young..I am like sorry over 23 should know better.
Meanwhile,
two people who came to the ceremony who could not afford to come, which we said dont worry coulda ate for free ugh.

So it happens to all of us. Where is the reception? I got two dinners to take home, didn't even ask and it came in handy after the after party-we were starving

ITA! It just hurts throwing money away like that. See what your RH can do for you about throwing in freebies or packing the dinners to go? I know that's what we'll be doing if there are any no-shows on the day of the wedding.
