Fi and i both feel that we dont need to exchange wedding gifts. Why would my fi have to get me a gift on top of everything we are doing for eachother? I would love diamond stud earrings but i can so wait for x-mas or anniverary

FH and I probably aren't going to have the money to really splurge on wedding gifts. The official call will come when the wedding gets closer and we see where we are financially but even if we do end up getting each other something it's not going to be anything huge that much I know.

I would LOVE to get FH a plasma screen TV but the way we are shelling out $$$ for the wedding I may wait to give it him for his 30th bday which is 5 months after the wedding.

Me and FH havent really discussed if we are exchanging, but I think I am DEF going to buy him engraged cufflinks, whether he buys me a gift or not

I don't know if we're both exchanging gifts, but in my family it's customary that once you get engaged the bride gets the groom some type of jewelry in return. So I already bought FH a Raymond Weil watch and I plan on giving it to him on our one year to the date mark. I just hope he likes it

We've discussed it...but if anything, it would be something small..something that had more of a meaning, than a monetary value...

yeah, if anything, something with meaning, but i like the idea of engraved cufflinks...
His engagment/birthday present was a 32' flat screen tv, so no more big gifts!

my original plan was to get him a puppy.....(i've never had a pet - i'm actually a little nervous around animals) but he has ALWAYS had a dog and i know it kills him that we don't have one right now.....so i would love to surprise him with that - we'll see - if we find a house by then (as for now we are in an apt - no pets allowed.
2nd choices: oooh i'd love to do the plasma screen tv for fh too!!

an ijoy massage chair from sharper image (he loves them)

His gift is that he gets to marry me We may do gifts - if there is any money left after all this wedding planning (read: if we stop going over the budget on everything)

I am giving him a handcarved wood , what I call, Man box. Do not know what the real name is but it is a beautiful box with wood inlays the top flips open and has one draw on the bottom. To keep his wallet, jewlery, & whatever. Had a brass plate engraved and placed on the inside of the part that flips up. I know he will love it and have it forever and not too too expensive.

Im sure we will exchange small tokens of affection but were not going to splurge on pricey items ... were saving our money!

I don't think we will do this... we actually haven't discussed it.. but between us getting a house now and dealing with wedding and honeymoon expenses.. i think if we can actually afford the honeymoon we want... that will be our gift to eachother!
