I'm just curious is everyone from LI? I am actually from Indiana, but came across this site while looking for wedding forums and I like it, so I joined :) lol Are there others who aren't from LI, and if so where are you from?

I LOVE LONG ISLAND so much LOL i'm like long island's biggest fan!!!
i'm so sad that FH and i might have to move for just a few years so he can attend Vet school (he was going to be a Pharmacist but after discovering that the Vet program was just as long as the Pharmacy program and pretty much the same in credits--he decided to go for being a Vet b/c he has a passion for animals and no passion for making medicine LOL). so i told him that even tho the Vet schools are out of state to go for it and we'll live there temporarily and RUN, not walk, RUN home as soon as he is done!!
ETA: FH was also born and raised here, same with me, he was just one town over from where I lived my whole life! His Dad moved here from Italy when he was about 20 years old.. so my FH is a first-generation American and Long Islander

I grew up in Suffolk county, but I live in DC now. LI was a great place to grow up, but I can't imagine ever going back.

Yes, I was born and raised in Nassau County. However, FH & I will probably move 1 or 2 years after the wedding. We want a house and just can't afford one here.
