I am thinking of getting a plain silver band for the honeymoon. I am defintitely leaving my e-ring at home. We are doing lots of adventurous stuff and I don't want it getting damaged/lost and also I heard of mugging/pickpocketing where we are going (not that this wouldn't exist anywhere). FH said 'so don't wear a ring' but hey, I just got married, I will want to wear a wedding ring! Im not crazy, right?

I wore my rings. I put them in the hotel safe when doing beachy adventerous things. I've done this several times on several vacations and had no problems.
Some get other rings for peace of mind, but I found no reason to.
This is what I intend on doing...
That's exactly what I did and I had no problems.

I really could have wore my in Cabo- it was perfectly safe
Jake's reasoning for not having me wear my rings- was that I am small- and careless and I could easliy become a target- my rings are well- flashy- he just wanted me to be safe
but once we got there - and he realized how nice it was- he said I could have wore them
I didn't were my watch either- b/c it can't be replaced- it was my Moms
my reason for him not wearing his real ring- he loses everything- why take the chance-I spent a lot of money on the ring - why lose it 2 days later
it was ok to leave them at home- I couldn't wait to put it back on when I got there

Nope, I'll be wearing the real rings on HM.
I'm not that worried. I wear my ering everyday on the subways.

I don't see the point in wearing other rings. y e-ring has insurance and our wedding bands will be added to the policy when we buy them. If my ring were an heirloom then I'd understand but we have insurance so that I can enjoy wearing my rings knowing they'll be easily replaced if something happens.
See that's the thing, I would never WANT to replace my e-ring and wedding band. I know I could but that would kill me. I am leaving my e-ring and wedding band in the safe and wearing a plain silver band. It just is for piece of mind
For peace of mind... EXACTLY! I wouldn't want to replace my rings either. I am sentimental in that way. I want the exact rings he placed on my finger, not a replica.
