I am thinking of getting a plain silver band for the honeymoon. I am defintitely leaving my e-ring at home. We are doing lots of adventurous stuff and I don't want it getting damaged/lost and also I heard of mugging/pickpocketing where we are going (not that this wouldn't exist anywhere). FH said 'so don't wear a ring' but hey, I just got married, I will want to wear a wedding ring! Im not crazy, right?

I have 2 wedding bands, one with diamonds and the other is a plain band. I plan on wearing the band that corresponds to where we're going. (If it's hiking or something adventurous, the plain band, if it's a night out, the diamond one.)
I've also heard of girls wearing 'fake' engagement rings on their HM...you know the ones you see in the stores with cubic zirconias...another thing to consider.

I wore my rings. I put them in the hotel safe when doing beachy adventerous things. I've done this several times on several vacations and had no problems.
Some get other rings for peace of mind, but I found no reason to.

My FH is getting a plain band but that's because he does manual labor and I don't want him damaging is diamond band.

I bought titanium bands on ebay for both of us to wear on the HM. Didn't want to have to worry about my real rings.

I bought this fun fake pave ring at the Limited of all places and I wear it sometimes (like right now) on my right hand.
I think I may bring it and wear it around. Not sure if I'll take the eng. ring or not.....
Oh wait, I don't HAVE a honeymoon!

FH & I have been arguing over this for weeks. He wants me to leave the rings home, although he's willing to compromise and agree not to argue over the wedding band if I leave the e-ring at home.
Ummm, hello, I will have just gotten married and he wants me to leave the bling behind???

I don't see the point in wearing other rings. y e-ring has insurance and our wedding bands will be added to the policy when we buy them. If my ring were an heirloom then I'd understand but we have insurance so that I can enjoy wearing my rings knowing they'll be easily replaced if something happens.

That is what I told FH, and his response was that it wouldn't be the same diamond that he so carefully selected and presented me with. I can't argue with the logic, but I still don't want to leave it at home.

Totally confused. Fake rings on the Honeymoon. Wow I'd never heard of this. I had planned on wearing the e-ring and wedding ring too. You ladies got me thinking and kinda scared.

I see his point. I guess I'm not that sentimental. I mean I love my diamond and had it been some heirloom diamond then I'd be crushed if it was lost. Who knows. I guess there is no way to argue with him.

I will be wearing my wedding band & engagement ring! I have already been to the Bahama's & Disney with it! You can't be scared to wear your rings, or their is no reason to wear them everyday...JMHO
As I have been told before, the one time you take the ring off & leave it behind, is the time you may lose it!!!

I was torn about this too.... I took them off once during our HM and put int he safe but then I kept them on and was fine...although while snorkeling I had my hands in front of me so I could see them the whole time!!! Now I am much more used to them but when we go to Costa Rica for our anniversary I think I may leave me e-ring at home and just wear a band....personal choice. After just being married, I did not NOt want to wear THE rings!

See that's the thing, I would never WANT to replace my e-ring and wedding band. I know I could but that would kill me. I am leaving my e-ring and wedding band in the safe and wearing a plain silver band. It just is for piece of mind
