Are you getting tips for your wedding? If I take care of mine from now to the wedding (and they don't break ) they might be long enough... but if not I might get tips.
And if you are getting tips - are you doing silk wrap or just acrylic?

no they are not long, but long for me. I used to bite my nails so much. I quit that and now they are just a tiny bit longer than my finger tip.

I am afraid of tips with all the moving and dancing -- too likely to break.

I'm doing acrylic tips I inevitably break a nail every time I have somewhere to go. My students are used to my normal outbursts when I break a nail! hahaha

Just a french manicure for me too! I hate tips. They annoy me, they break, and when you get to a point where you actually want them to come off, they're very difficult to.

Re: Are you getting tips??
Im ways away from thinking about whether or not I will. I usually am the girl who wears tips all the time up until I decided to take them off for some wedding savings. Its killing me I tell you because they are looking pretty yucky After a few manicures and some nail envy they should be ok.
As far as my experience w/tips, silk wraps are a lot easier to take off and will hold up just as good. I had acrylic on( i usually do the silk wrap + powder) and it was a B--tch to take off. They had to soak a lot longer than normal and as the nail technician ty to pry them off, my nails almost went with it. Ouch!
Of course, every one has a different experience.

Re: Are you getting tips??
I started with my nails about a month ago. I didn't know what I was doing. I got tips put on with silk wraps and hated them. Now I took them off and I have only silk. It's nicer, looks more natural and my nails have grown. They can make tips with the silk (which is what I have on two of my nails). And you do not have to get them long, and it really keeps your nails from breaking. I will say though, I'm feeling very high maintenance with them and hate that it takes up time to fill them every two weeks and new sets of silk put on every 6 weeks. Don't know if I'll continue after the wedding.
Good luck...BA

Re: Are you getting tips??
Thanks for starting this thread Jimmysbride! I've been wondering what to do with mine. Can anyone recommend a good salon for silk wraps in either Nassau or the city? Thanks...
