Are you going to keep or change your last name?

I am changing my last name. It would be LaShanna Farnum my name now is LaShanna Rogers

I love my last name, its not going to be as fun cuz fh's last name is pronounceable whereas my current one baffles everyone lol but yes, i'm changing it too, no hyphen either.

i always assumed i'd be taking FH's last name... but i really dont want the same name as his mother so i'm on the fence.
i just keep telling myself that she only kept the last name for her kids sake (she's divorced) and FH doesnt know his biological dad so there's no 'Real' history with the last name.
I think i'll still take his name b/c i know he wants me to and i think it'd be nice to...
but at the same time i'm the only girl in my family so it'll be wierd not having the same last name as everyone else.

my brother married a girl with the same last name as his. how convenient is that??

I'm not changing my name and FH is totally cool with it just as long as our kids have his name. I'll use his unofficially and I really do like it, but i never wanted to change mine.

I would love to keep my last name, since it is only 6 letters and my new name will have 13! Plus I finally have a signature that I like and flow to my name, but FH won't have it! So 13 letters here I come!

I have no brothers., so it will end with my dad. I mean my dad has tons of brothers..and I have a very common last name....but still., im loosing a part of him .


Same with me. My father has no brothers so our last name will not live on...so sad to think of it that way.

I feel the same way.........my last name has been me for 26 years........I want to hyphen it but Fh dosent like the idea.

I thought about that too, that the name ends here. It's only me and my sister in my family. My dad has cousins with the same name, but it's just not the same!

my german last name will be traded in for an italian last name.

it is going to take some getting used to but I am going to take his last name.

Cause I love LOVE LOVE my last name...but i like his too...but its just that my name sounds so good together now.

(but this is what i am thinking)
For business i will keep Dellilo
and my other family stuff, it will be Berardi


and also i want to keep my last name because my father died and theres no more dellilos left!!!

I'm keeping mine, though FH is not too happy. He'll get over it though and it's important to me to be able to keep my name....

So changing my last name.. I mean I love my last name now, but I think it will feel so much more real to have his last name as mine!
