Are you going to save your dress after the wedding?
Original post by EJSD2006
After her wedding, my sister said she just didn't see a need to hold on to her dress. Are you going to save your dress?

I actually haven't decided yet. I wouldn't expect my daughter to want to wear it. My mom kept hers along with the acessories. I have already asked her if I could use her veil to tie my bouquet together. Let me tell you she started bawling. She thought that was the best thing I could have ever asked her for. She's so honored.

I'll save it b/c I love it and perhaps I'll have a christening or communion dress made from it. It truly doesn't pay to sell it, considering what you paid & what you'd sell it for.

YES! YES! YES! I cannot imagine getting rid of it. I can remember when I was little dressing up in my mom's gown and standing in front of the mirror and dreaming...not that I would have ever worn her gown now (very 70's ) but I want my daughter (hopefully I'll have one ) to be able to do what I did as a kid.

Definitely! But not with any hopes that my child will wear it. I just want to have it to see if in 20 years from now I can still fit in it!!!
