I am having a day wedding at the Watermill....cocktails start at 1:00.
My church is in Seaford at 10:30....we haven't decided if we are having a full mass or not.
I LOVEEEEE Old Westbury Gardens (FH and I had one of our first dates there) so I put deposit down there months ago to take pictures there in between.
If I go there I will def miss most if not all of my cocktail hour. Do you think I should? I have to sacrifice something I'm just not sure what!!!
Anyone know any other places by the Watermill to take pictures???

i still havent decided yet - we should be done with teh pics by then and heres the thing: if i go to my cocktail hour tehn i dont have to spend my entire recpetion greeting people BUT then my entrance wont be as fun. i dont know why this is a hard decesion for me

We're taking pics beforehand so we can mingle with guests during cocktail hour. It was important to me since all my family is all out-of-state. I'm just going to make sure the photographer gets a good shot of his first look at me, since it won't be the typical isle moment. :)

we're definitely NOT missing our cocktail hour!
we want to have that time to greet all of our guests so we can fully enjoy the reception!
and we're having a steel drum band, and we don't want to miss it!

I def agree that If you go to the cocktail hour then you don't have to greet as many people during the actual wedding....
I'm just afraid that I am not going to get the pictures I really want if I dont go somewhere else to get pictures.
It's def a time crunch

I am definitely going to be at my cocktail hour...Only because, here is my chance to see mostly everyone so I can enjoy my reception without going table to table!! But, don't get me wrong, if I was able to take my pictures at Westbury Gardens and skip my cocktail hour?? I would do it!!

we are going to our cocktail hour. atleast there we can start out hello's and all. we are expecting ovr 250 people, so that is a lot of hello's. We are taking pics before the cocktail hour, so that we can spend time with out guests and have fun as much as possible.

Probably not we will be too busy taking pictures and trying to relay. My hall will set up a Mini CH in our Bridal Suite we will enjoy that and then make our grand entrances.

Caleb Smith state park is right near the watermill....it has the trees, lakes, forrest look. You won't have the structures that you will at westbury gardens....but its worth checking out.

We're going to our Cocktail hour because we want to get a lot of 'hellos' out of the way during that time....we will be taking pics before the cocktail hour.
