I always thought that I wanted a cake topper, but now that I see all these beautiful cakes with flowers on top.....I'm not sure. What are you doing for your wedding?

When I first started planning I had read in all the mags that cake toppers were 'Out' but then my FI saw one of those goofy ones where the guy has a ball and chain and said if there is one thing I get to pick for this wedding that is it....I want that cake topper, we're both goofy, wise a**'s like that so we're having it

I havent picked out my cake yet, but I am thinking that I will probably get the one that you don't use the topper for. I think I will just put out on display next to the cake since I already have a cake topper.

i'm doing flowers, but i may display one on the table.(i have a specific one in mind but it's $50... so hoping mommy buys it for me LOL)
but i'm still not quite sure yet... i've never noticed peoples cake toppers before. I'm sure no one will miss it if i don't have one.

I dont have one yet, but yes, I am planning on having one!
We are but we're not putting it on top of the cake. We're putting on the cake table. We're going to have fresh flowers on the cake.

I answered no. We are probably just having flowers on top... but there is a small chance we will use my greatgrandmothers cake topper. She is begging me to use it.

i think we are just going to have flowers- like this...
we're going to have flowers on the cake, butwe will place this on the table with the cake. it's too big to go on top anyway.

We are using one. I wasn't really planning on it but my FMIL bought a beautiful Lenox Bride and Groom cake topper for us a few months after we got engaged!

We had a Lenox topper, but it was too heavy for our cake(or so I was told), so it just sat beside it.
