I keep wavering back and forth on the idea of having one passed around at the reception. I like the idea of having a keepsake but what do you do with it after the wedding?
i am not having one because i think that most people wont sign it....but..i do plan on having a poloroid on at my shower because my ladies will definitely write me little notes of love!

Re: Are you having a guest book?
We did, and I'm glad we did. We had it out at the church and on the place card table so that everyone would see it and sign it if they wanted to. We got some beautiful notes in it. not all of the pages were used, so what I plan on doing is printing some of the pro-pics of the guests that signed in a smaller size (3x5) and putting them in with photo corners.

Re: Are you having a guest book?
i did a sign-in frame with our engagement announcement in it...it now hangs in our kitchen...our DOC made sure people signed..this pic was taken about half-way signed
I went back and forth with the idea too. I decided to get one b/c I'm hopeful that some will sign it. I bought one for under $20.00 at www.loveandvows.com and it came with free personalization.

Re: Are you having a guest book?
Instead of a guest book, I am renting an old time photo booth for the reception and I will ask guests to put one of the strips of pictures in a blank scrap book I bought, and sign next to that. That way I will have pic of everyone.
Alternatively, I went to a wedding where they had a beautiful book of local scenery from the place they got married and people just signed in the white space on all of the pages. That way it can become a nice coffee table book that has more than just signatures.

I didn't have one and I didn't miss it at all. I hate signing them at other people's weddings and you never get all the people to sign anyway. Not to mention some poor soul usually has the job of tending to the dern thing!

Re: Are you having a guest book?
We did and it was a HUGE hit!
I got the idea off of LIW I think, like forever ago. We (well mostly DH, he was great with this project) made a book on snapfish with a few pages of pics of us, but then pics of literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON who was at the wedding--some people were easier than others, but they ranged from pics with us to some of my dad's cousins wedding pics from the '70's b/c that's all we could find. People signed by their photo, and some people wrote hilarious comments, and some wrote really beautiful things. There was a huge buzz about where each persons' photo was from! We figured at the very least it would have lots of our favorite pictures of our favorite people, and now it has more!

I made a book just like this for my friend's wedding and got it when they (mypublisher.com) were having a buy one get one free sale. She had one passed around during the rehearsal dinner first for immediate family and friends to sign and almost everyone did and then she had it at the wedding for everyone else and I do not believe there were that many more entries, but she now has one book signed by her close friends and family and one 'untouched' book to see the photos before they were signed over.

Re: Are you having a guest book?
I always wondered what people do with it, but since Ann's Bridal Bargains has them for like 12 bucks, I'm going for it!
