I am and am curious to see how many people are and are not inviting kids to their receptions . . .

we had my cousins who are 13 and 14, but i don't consider them kids really. they are the youngest in the family, so it wasn't really a huge concern for us

yes. when i mentioned not having them, i swear, i saw a side of my mother that i never want to see again. and having kids there is not cheap, and i tell her that. plus, my cousins are coming from CA, and i had to invite them, and if i invited them, i had to invite everyone else.

Yes, my 2 nieces, 2 nephews and I have to allow my cousin's 2 kids only because he's sweet enough to come all the way from England to attend my wedding. So, I couldn't exactly say no to his kids.

We are- they make up most of our bridal party. All of my nieces and nephews- 11 of them (ages 3-16)! I don't want anyone else's kids, though. Hopefully I won't have issues with that because I'm having a smaller wedding. We'll have to see.

We're having a few because there really aren't many in either family. The youngest will be the RB, 4, and my FG, 6. The others are 8, 14, 16. There are a couple babies (1 year or under) and I'm having my mom tell the parents 'no babies.' My FG and RB are very close family, the babies are third cousins, so I don't feel close enough to them to deal with their screaming and crying. If the parents have a serious problem with it than they don't have to come.

i am having my 5 nieces and 2 nephews at my wedding... they make up my bridal party! but they aren't too young, though - 2 will be practically 17, 2 will be 15, 1 will be 12, 1 will be 10, and the youngest will be 9.
both fh and i have 2 second cousins each, who are much younger. we drew the line there and decided not to include them.

no way!! the cut off age is 16. except for my flower chicky who will be 13. yes, she prefers 'chicky' to 'girl'.

i didnt invite any kids except the flowergirl who is my neice and goddaughter and my dh nephew was the ring bearer. my cousin brought her 1 year old uninvited and everyone that couldnt being there kids was mad

We are going to have about 20 children at our wedding. They are all my little cousins and I can't even imagine not inviting them to come with their parents.

My brother is 11 years old, and he will be doing a reading in the ceremony. FH nephews and neices are 11, 12 and 13. They will all be there. To me, those are not 'kids'
My Aunt wants to bring my 3 year old nephew. I am putting my foot down and she thinks I am a *****. But no babies. I think I am going to pay for a sitter to come to the hotel room...that would be the nice thing :)

Same here - FH and I have fought about this since before we got engaged...I just don't think it's the place for them. And it's my nieces and nephews that we're talking about!! But I finally gave in after someone on another side of the family decided to invite them and she's only getting married like a month after me. I already feel like they like her better so I had to compete .
They're getting their own table though...and it will be in the furthest corner I can find. Maybe that's why they like their cousin better!

I am having 7 kids in my bridal party (all nieces and nephews). Besides them, I am inviting our cousin's kids, which is 3 on his side and about 7 on mine.
