Re: Are you having kids at your wedding?
We will have 4 kids there, but we are going to hire a babysitter for later on in the night.
Search in your own words. Describe what you need or ask a wedding planning question.
FH & I decided to make it an 'Adult Affair' by only having 21 years and older. Problem is I'm having my two ring bearers and the flower girl attending. Hopefully no one will be offended. For those that are not having kids....How are you phrasing your invitation so your guest can get the point?

I can't stand having children at the wedding....but everyone keeps saying 'So who do we leave the kids with if everyone is going to be attending the wedding?' ...so i guess i'm going to have to invite all my younger cousins ...i just wanted everyone to enjoy themselves and not worry about there kids
we are having kids, although i did not want them. i lost that battle...
no kids only the ones in the bridal party
No kids! It was a tough decision but in the end, all will have a better time because of it (including all the mommys and daddys)
FH & I were going to do an adult only reception, but there are so many kids in our family, we want them all there to celebrate with us so we decided to just have everyone.
hm ,thats a tough one. I'm also doing an adults only wedding and I have hinted to all my friends with kids that its only going to be adults only. Its really hard to tell people in an invite not to bring their kids. It might be better just to tell them by phone. My niece is the flower girl and my nephew is the ring bearer and they will be there for the ceremony but I have suggested to my brother to have my sister in law's mom come pick them up after the ceremony. Not to be mean, but my niece and nephew will get bored during the reception and fall asleep mid way. Or they will get cranky and whine the whole time.
initially we decided not to. We hope to keep it that way.
Im having an adult only wedding but there will be a few children there. My 2 flower girls and I told my cousin who is comnig from SC she could bring her 3 daughters if she couldn't find someone to watch them. Really no one else has children so I don't think we'll annoy to many other people
the only kids will be at our wedding will be my immediate cousins, and the 1 year old twins I'm a nanny for!
i have kids... like my own kids... and i am making them leave with a sitter for the night after the first hour.... i am all for kid free! no sympathy!
ps i aknow people who hire a sitter to stay in a hotel with the kids or a house near by and baby sit all the kids. so they can go to a bit. but leave to the adults can have fun... you could offer that !
FH and I are having an adult reception only as well. I'm not having a flower girl or ring bearer, but my niece and nephew will be 6 and 4 by the time of the wedding, and I can't not invite them. Those are the only two kids I am having at my wedding. And I'm going to make it very clear of that to my guests. I dont know how. But I will!
Unfortunately i have ro invite certsin children bc my fbil refused to go if he couldn't bring them. However my sister worded her rsvp card to say # of seats have been reserved in your honor to avoid crashera and people who wanted to bring their kids.
only a few - like probably under 10-15 kids
