Are you inviting all OOT guests to your rehearsal dinner?

Are you inviting all OOT guests to your rehearsal dinner?

We originally were not, but now I think we are.

I think I prefer the idea of just including the bridal party/those involved in the ceremony (and FILs originally wanted to keep it smaller). However, we are having our RD at the OOT hotel and FILs recently decided that they do want to include everyone. They ultimately left it up to us, but I think we're going to invite all OOTers too.

As our RSVPs are coming in I have a greater appreciation for those that are travelling in order to come to the wedding, so I'm happy to invite them, even if it makes the guest list grow substantially. (ex: we already have 20 rooms booked in the hotel)

What are you doing? Was it your decision or FILs? Are you sending them formal invitations? Our wedding invites already went out and I think FILs are sending separate RD invites...

I'm only inviting the bridal party without guests, unless they are engaged or married etc.
and only the OOTers staying at the hotel. We have some local people who want to stay at the hotel both the night before and the night of. I refuse to invite them just b/c they are staying at the hotel. Only those coming from far away with be invited to the RD.
I'm still undecided about sending out invites though. I dont feel its necessary at this point. I'm just going to either send an email or call or just by word of mouth.

We had all OOT guests at the rehersal dinner. Most of our extended families are from out of the country or in Florida so we wanted to thank them for coming all this way. Also in my culture family doesn't let family stay in hotels when they visit so I was able to give out the OOT boxes at the dinner rather than run to 20 peoples homes.

It was nice b/c it helped people to get to know one another before the wedding and let loose. Definitely think it helped in the dancing category later lol

no. FH and I are paying for it ourselves and we're too broke!

Yes. All OOT guests and BP are invited, including those not staying at the hotel. We appreciate our guests and family coming all this way to come to our wedding and didn't think it was right to not include them, esp. since many are staying at the hotel and might find out they weren't invited....

no we didnt.. we also made the RD a week before the wedding so we wouldnt feel obligated to invite them. it was alot easier and noones feelings got hurt. and it was alot cheaper!

FILs are paying for it, and I think FH said they want to invite all OOTs - a lot of their family is OOT. We also don't really have a bridal party - just a MOH and best man - so it would be a smalllll dinner if it was just us and our immediate families, basically. I think there was 60 people on the list however when I made one (no one asked yet but I was playing around ... ) - that's a lot. FILs will probably want a few non-OOTers there too, and I think my mom would like her sisters there, who are not OOTers ... so the list grows ... and grows ...

we didn't because we would have had about 90 people at teh dinner if we did- and thats like a whole other wedding! LOL. My cousin in Chicago did this though adn it was very nice! if you have the means to do it, I think its a great thing to do!

We did because we didn't have many...but also we felt that anyone who made a special trip to NY to be with us for our wedding, they deserved a more intimate dinner than only seeing us at the RH.

If we did, it would have been practically everyone from the wedding. Plus I don't want to put that expense on FMIL, she is paying for it.

We'll have a bunch of OOTers, but many were going to be at the RD anyway (FH's parents, grandparents, brothers, groomsmen are almost entirely OOT). Adding 'all OOTers' would include his aunts/uncles, a few of our friends, and a few of my family members.

I'm in the mindset where I want to show my appreciation for those travelling as much as possible, and if it means including them then I'm glad FILs now would like to do this.

I dont think any local guests are staying at the hotel since we're an afternoon wedding but if they do, they wouldn't be invited.

The only OOT guests that we invited to the RD are my relatives from Italy that are staying at my parents house for 1 month. Yes....1 month!

We lucked out in this area though b/c the only OOTers that we have are my cousins from Cali and a couple from FL. Thats only about 13-15 people. Which isn't SO terrible. So they would be invited. then we have 21 in the BP alone, then our parents etc.

Most of our OOTers are his family, but if FILs are willing to expand our RD then it's probably for the best all around. Plus, more time for his family to meet mine (only our parents/grandparents have met eachother but none of the extended family has met)

we are getting married north of albany so the majority of the wedding is OOT so we are not having everyone at RD, but most guest are coming up saturday anyway so not really a problem for us

We really don't have many OOT guests, but the few that will be in town on that Wednesday when our RD is will be invited. Most aren't coming up that early, I think only 1 or 2 couples so far. It really isn't adding much to the guest list.

WE had to draw the line somewhere...with over 80 OOTS we could not invite them all and did not want to hurt anyone's feelings. We decided to keep it small and intimate....24 people total.

We would like to but it depends on how many people are coming in early- its just so expensive to have everyone- but we will invite close family from out of town to the rehearsal dinner.

The only ones that will be present are m great-Aunt and her daughter since we are very close. Everyone else is in the bridal party.

We can't...since we are having our wedding out of state...technically EVERYONE is an OOT guest....that would be like having 2 weddings!
