Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
We are only putting 'guest' if they are in a serious relationship, b/c we too have many family members and friends who are single and it was getting slightly costly. Plus, there are other people who are important to us that we'd like to invite and if we extended '& guest' to every single person we would have to eliminate others we want to share the day with.I've been to weddings when I was dating someone new and I wasn't extended the invitation to bring a guest and I understood. Hopefully my guests will too.

I put & guest on all of them, most of them came solo though. A couple of my mom's side cousins hooked up with my dad's side cousins, so it worked out perfect. I made the gesture, but no one took advantage.

You have to invite the cousin who is married with her husband. The one who is in a serious relationship also should be invited with a guest.. The rest you don't have to invite with a guest.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
I don't think you have to invite them with dates if they're not in a relationship. We both had some cousins over 18 who weren't dating anyone, so they weren't invited with guests. The same rule held true for our friends- only people with boy/girl friends were invited with dates. We actually bit bit in tha @ss with that one, because two of DH friends replied with dates, were on the outs with their girlfriends and showed up with no dates. It was real nice of them to warn us beforehand, because I paid for those two empty plates.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
I agree that anyone over 18 should be invited with a guest (and they may come alone anyway). I just think that for a party that is going to have dancing it is nice to have a dance partner (especially slow songs). It could be awkward if someone was invited to go solo and they really like dancing.Plus if you don't know your cousins that well (like me) you may not know if they are in a serious relationship and they will be offended if they are dating someone and were not invited with a guest. Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
Our tentative list is at 194 and that is without guests (only spouses and boyfriends are on that list). If I add '& guest' it will be about 250.
ETA - I do think we will end up having to do '& guest' though since it is a dancing event.
