Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
I would only put ' & guest' if they are in a serious relationship w/ someone.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
We invited everyone age 20 and up (or so) with a guest. You don't have to, but we thought it was the right thing to do. I can't keep tabs on who is in a serious enough relationship that they'd want to bring a guest, or those who just feel more comfortable attending a party like that with a guest, so we left it up to them.I was invited to a couple of weddings without a guest when I was 20 or 21, and couldn't bring my then-new-boyfriend (now-husband), and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
ETA: We didn't have any guests between age 16 and 20, but if we did I'd probably add a guest for those 18 and up, as suggested by the other ladies.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
If the people had a significant other I put their name on the invitation. If they did not have anyone significant, I invited everyone '& guests.' Only one person that I did '& guest' actually brought a guest, everyone else came alone. I was glad to make the gesture. But, I have been to many weddings where they don't invite everyone with a guest, do what you want and what you can afford.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
i'm in the same position, a lot of cousins in their early 20's but none with serious boy/girl friends. Unless they are dating someone seriously when I send out the invites their being invited alone.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
the thing is my father just had his wedding and invited everyone of my cousins with a guest and they brought people that they barley new. i thought it was a little disrespectful. i asked one of my cousins 'who is that?' and he was like oh you know i had to bring someone??????so they will just bring any person from off the street.
and one of my cousins will bring a his flavor of the week.
ugh!
thanks for some tips ladies

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
I'm not putting the words '& guest.' If there is a name for me to put on the invitation (i.e. reasonably long term relationship) then they're invited.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
We invited guests only for those who were engaged or living together. the only exception we made to this is for the 2 or 3 people who would know only me or FH, and might be uncomfortable not knowing any other person on the guest list

we are only going to invite with guests those people with significant others, and those who won't really know anyone at the wedding.

yes, we are enviting with guests.I really want people to have a good time, and if they bring someone they know, that increases the chances.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
Anyone that was invited over 18-20 Got an and guest on it.It is not up to me to determine who is in a serious relationship or not.
And this is kinda a sore point with me b/c FH got invited to a friends wedding in FL and none of the NY friends got invited with a guest execpt person.
Well FH didnt go due to $$ reason and when I met the people later on they said oh sorry you werent invited to the wedding we were only inviting people in serious relationships. I guess 4 yrs isnt serious enough for them b/c it was serious enough for us we got engaged the weekend of their wedding.

Re: Are you inviting everyone with guests?????
I think anyone over 18 (especially if they have a serious or semi serious bf/gf) should be invited with a guest. Ive had the experience of not being invited to my fiancees cousins wedding while we were dating a year and it is still a touchy subject lol
