Okay so a friend of mine got engaged quite a while ago and now she tells me that she's thinking of having her wedding the same weekend as mine. In fact, the day after! Is she joking? Why on earth would she think that was a good idea???
I mean obviously she doesn't care if i can attend her wedding or not, because i WOULD NOT go the day after my wedding. Who would?
Am i being silly? I mean wouldn't you avoid having your wedding the same weekend as your friends??? How does she not understand this? Especially since we might have some of the same people in attendance... they're not going to be able to do TWO weddings back to back! That's just stupid and inconvenient for others.
What do you girls think?

Yeah, that doesn't sound right to me. She knows you're date, why hell does she feel the need to get married the next day? Doesn't sound like such a good friend in my opinion.
What did you say to her?

Ah, there's the words I was looking for but couldn't come up with! Is this woman jealous about your wedding or something?

Re: are you joking???
Sounds like she is being spiteful or else she's not a very close friend & had her heart set on a specific date and it happens that is the weekend of your wedding.
I'd be quite upset!!!!!!!

Does she know your date? Why would anyone do that!! You should talk to her before she sets the date and make sure she knows what she is doing

Re: are you joking???
What did you say to her when she told you she was going to have her wedding the same weedend? That is absolutely rediculous!!!! I probably wouldn't be freinds with her after that. It sounds to me that she is trying to take something away from you.

Re: are you joking???
Did she fall on her HEAD!!!!!?????
Since smacking her with a 2x4 is out of the question....Id seriously tell her to reconsider because as her friend, you really want to be with her on her big day and also to have her there on yours, which she might not do if its the day before her wedding.
There are plenty of fall weekends she could pick from

Re: are you joking???
SO RUDE! If she is a close friend, I would tell her that you would be really hurt if she has her wedding the day after yours - because it would be nice to have your OWN wedding weekend, plus you would like to go to her wedding. RUDE RUDE RUDE!

Is it really out of the question?? I mean I would pull a little Tanya Harding on her azz... the nerve of stealing your weekend

Re: are you joking???
Wow, I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt, however, in this case, that's kind of hard. Is there some sort of extenuating circumstance where she feels she absolutely cannot do it at another time? I'm assuming the answer is no because that would be highly unlikely. I would encourage her to join LIW because she's OBVIOUSLY NOT a member right now or else she'd know better I'll tell ya this, you really see people's true colors when you're planning a wedding
