That is crazy!! Send out your STD and fast. She will look like the idiot here. Everyone knows about your wedding already, so they are going to think she is being ridicilious. Everyone will go to your wedding over her's, anyway!
If she is even thinking of having a wedding a day after yours, she is not a good friend or a friend at all. She obviously does not care about you or your feelings. There is something not right here, you should talk to her.

I would be really upset! That is just wrong... if she wants to have it a few weeks after you, fine. But the day after, that is just really inconsiderate.

That's crazy! Just a bit insensitive on her part... especially if she knew what your date was first.

God...My FH friend is doing it the month after us and I'm pissed.......I cant imagine doing it that close. Totally disrespectful. Sorry that you have to deal with that.

Re: are you joking???

That is SOOOOOO RUDE!!! I know exactly how you feel. FH and I had our wedding date (originally Dec. 2, 2006) booked for about a year and a couple of months and his COUSIN booked the day after us (Dec. 3). I was so upset to say the least and I was also so hurt. After a lot of consideration and back and forth with FH, we switched our date (everyone we spoke to in my family told us not to and to screw them). I was not going to switch the date, but I would have been so upset the day of my wedding if 1/2 my guests (his family) had to leave early because they had a wedding to go to the next morning (yes a morning wedding, not even an evening wedding). It would have just made me cry on my wedding day. I am still upset that we are doing the week before them (I still think it is too close), but I am having a Christmas themed wedding, so I was very limited to the weekends that I could do. It was either the weekend before or the weekend after, and my catering hall was already booked for the weekend after. I am not by any means saying that you should do that, it was just what we did. I just can't believe what is going through your friends (my FH's cousin's) mind when they do something like that! Someone really should smack them, although I don't know if that would help them.
